Property of Kor Sha

Item Lore: Rod of Kor Sha.
This should have been used with Skullcap Quest of Cabilis or Other Cabilis Quest.
hmm...

Might be a shot in the dark... but has anyone tried combining the Visceral Dagger with the long iron Rod?
iksar war sub-quest?
# Dec 22 2002 at 7:55 PM Rating: Decent
ok, this is just a wild guess, but maybe it is used in one of the iksar warrior pike quests. i have yet to look deeply into any of those, but i know that dagger quest in dalnir is a sub quest to my iksar sk's khurki quests. seems rational to reason that a rod, regardless of being a blunt wpn before hand, can be combined with other items to become the handle for a pike. once again, this is just a speculative guess, but who knows, best of luck all with figuring it out. 8)
Maybe Part of a Weap?
# Apr 02 2002 at 4:28 PM Rating: Excellent
Considering that you have to get 2 pieces and the hammer and forge the thing yourself, although it works everytime, makes me think that its just a part of a total weapon constuction thing. Perhaps you get a container in which to combine the rod and something else to make a weap, which is handed in for XP and a return weap.....just my 2cp.

Read that again

Rod Segments I and II ... in the Always Works forge

might that be why it always combines?

#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 24 2001 at 3:45 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Well to be honest after a certain point Necro's dont need a staff to wield as a weapon. Necros in my mind are the most powerful class in the game. I dont care what anyone says negativly about that remark, I believe it to be true. They have the strongest pets at higher lvls..the necro can cast haste on them to be even tougher, plus the dots at their disposal just knock the hell out of anyone. So even if Verant gives Necros the shaft when it comes to items no biggie.. they still own any player out there.

# Sep 21 2001 at 12:09 PM Rating: Default
the strongest classs depends on what you are doing, and at what level(e.g. for PvP, lvl 60 rogue will take all comers!) now, granted that this item sucks, but it's a quest, and a bad one. Why would a necro melee anyway? that's what pets are for!
RE: To be honest here.
# Oct 14 2001 at 3:48 PM Rating: Good
Oh, I disagree! Necros are wonderful for melee. We get a damage shield that can do decent damage, life drain that reduces the damage we take, and DoTs that make the melee short. I've gained my last 10 levels relying on variants of:

* Banshee
* Leech
* Send pet
* DoT/Vortex/DD/whatever I have at that level
* Melee as thing comes after me

Sometimes (if I'm soloing a white or yellow) I have to throw in a few drains to keep my health up.

Who cares that I never do much damage!? I'm doing 10 points every time I get hit, plus the life-drain, plus the dots, plus the pet!

A necro can out Melee any of the other casters. You balance your Melee in such a way that your life taps reheal what you loose to the mob. My Necro has TANKED Dark Blue mobs all the way to level 44. Not advising you tank all the time, but if you keep you AC reasonable and max your melee as you go then you can save some poor Chanter that lost his Mezz. Just keep cating your Lifetaps as it goes. It KILLS mana, but I ahve saved clerics and chanter and wizzies on many occaisions by tanking till the Main Tain can finish off another mob and take the one I have out.

Oh yeah. This weapon is crap.

I will grant everything that you say, but that's NOT what i call melee! :D

P.S. I have a necro, too, and I love it! but when i get my rogue to lvl 60, i will duel ANYONE and win, guaranteed (10k assassinate, anyone?)
RE: To be honest here.
# Oct 01 2003 at 12:17 AM Rating: Decent
Ok this has been my experience that Yes a Necro can Tank.Its not a fun occurence by any means and especially at the 50+ level doesnt last for too long.But as other posters have said,You can Keep a Bad pull from being disaster simply by pet Tanking one pull,You getting the attention of the other mob and keeping it busy.Hint :Insidious Retrogression works wonders here,Slows and Weakens them,meaning they hit less often and for less damage.Does the Fact that We Necros can tank mean we should be doing it often? Obviously Not.But if you are in a group and things go bad,a quick thinking Necro can save the day in more ways then one.

First of all, assasinate only works on creatures level 49 or less. This is much the same as my wizard spell disintergrate, which completely obliterates any mob 49 or less.

However, while a rogue is excellent in duels, consider what other classes can do at lvl 60 as well (with the right AA):

Wizard: Mana Dump... ouch

Necro: Send in pet to keep you busy then put a couple of 2k dots on you... ouch

Mage: Same as necro except with nukes... ouch

Warrior: Damned bastards have WAY too many hp... then rage... flurry.... ouch

Ranger: Trueshot... ouch

Enchanter: I never fight enchanters. They cheat and I need them too much. ;p

Need I go on?

The point of all this is just to say, as with ANY class discussion, all classes have their strong points and weak points. The difference, as awlays, is the person on the keyboard.

The assassination does 32k actually...but it doesn't work on mobs over level 48 or so. I don't think you'll have much luck using it on your dueling partner.

#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 25 2001 at 7:00 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Twit...Necros aren't the strongest class in the game, because there is NO strongest class in the game. It's up to the players as to how powerful a class becomes. Also an SK can beat the crap out of a Necro, Druid, Wizard, Warrior, Ranger etc etc....but if the player is stupid and doesn't know what he's doing, then he'll loose every single time...get your head out of yer **** and open yer eyes to what is really going on.

The Viceral Dagger (also a Dalnir quest) is actually a subquest for then Iksar SK Hero's Khukri quest. This is the second last of a series of about 8 quests.

Now with this ugly staff being lore, magic and nodrop, it is probably for a quest which hasn't been discovered yet (F.V., O.T. or Cabalis)

Many Kunark quests use subquests with no-drop items and faction requirments (like the 'epic' quests) to keep them from being farmed (how much Lambent and Crafted armor is available?) to make them a little more difficult and only obtainable by final users.

#Anonymous, Posted: May 04 2001 at 3:32 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) for the question of Barbs using slam when using 2hs first off bash is with shield slam is the race ability of being large and can always be used second i was looking here for mage quest items and why would a mage want to do this when he can summon a 9/36 that has the effect of cancel magic as well:/
#REDACTED, Posted: May 02 2001 at 1:17 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It is said that Necros are unwelcomed. Maybe Verant wants to get rid of us. I cannot see many quests for us.

Questing about 2hb weapons...
# Mar 22 2001 at 10:53 PM Rating: Default
If a barbarian has a 2hb weap, does he lose the ability to slam? IM pretty sure he does...
RE: Questing about 2hb weapons...
# Dec 22 2002 at 7:46 PM Rating: Decent
ok, just to straighten stuff out, i play 3 barbs and an ogre of various classes, all large races get the racial ability to slam their opponent. this slam is basically them using their sheer size to plow into a mob and deal dmg, it has no basis on wpns or class. my barb shammy continued to slam quite effectively while wielding a centi warspear (2hand piercer) as he does with his spine chiller and charred gaurdian (shields btw have no effect on slam either.) one advantage to slam, is that if you play a class such as a warrior who gets bash, you can continue to raise bash skill lvls while using your ethnic slam, (my barb war has a maxed out bash in his late 30's and hasnt used a shield since he was lvl 13.) i hope this clears things up for you all, laters. 8)
slammer mammer jammer
# Oct 22 2002 at 11:49 PM Rating: Decent
dont quote me, but slam is a racial ability. Trolls get it also. It never advances, as far as an ADVANTAGE?? are you nuts? especially if your a melee class, and you like to squish casters, spell disruption, and a sort of pseudo stun. and I DONT think you loose it with a 2hw. you take a hand off the weapon and backhand.
RE: Questing about 2hb weapons...
# Sep 03 2001 at 3:35 PM Rating: Decent
Nope, you sure don't lose slam. I've been using a 2hs weapon for a good while (since around lvl 20something) and have been slamming quite well.
RE: Questing about 2hb weapons...
# Jun 20 2001 at 1:30 PM Rating: Default
No, won't lose slam, but you would lose the ability to bash if you're not holding a shield in your secondary melee slot. Also (well you probably already know this) you need a magic shield to bash some creatures, and I believe magic shoulder item for bash.
