I'm not sure what's wrong....I've sent a picture of this spell twice in the last year.

Make sure you send in a cropped JPEG or GIF as an attachment to eqteam@allakhazam.com. That said, item screenshots are generally lower on our (well, my) priority list than other updates, so they tend to stack up until we do a big batch at once. Be patient: we'll get to it eventually.

It won't refill your mana pool, unlike Scryer's Trespass and Mind Wrack.
Think of it more as a low-cost-over-time DOT. It costs you 525 mana to initially cast, but you'll get 350 of that back over the next forty-two seconds, making the net cost 175 mana. That means you are casting one of the more efficient DOTs the game, as you've just done roughly 2K of damage for a paltry amount of mana.
(Disclaimer: All numbers are specified without focus effects, debuffs, bard song, AAs, or other such modification. I hadn't noticed the effect lasting longer than the DOT--- that was noticed by ChanterTime--- and he's right.)

Unfortunatly I only play EQ 1 to 2 times a week. Because of this my focus is everywhere. I am looking over the SL3 mission to complete this weekened but I am VERY interested in knowing what missions need to be completed in order to get the two other spells you mentiond: Mind Wrack and Scryer's Trespass. Thanks in advance for you help!
Mind Wrack is a Necromancer spell; if you want to know how to get it, look on that spell's thread. I'm pretty miffed that a friggin' Necromancer (dude specializing in undead, for frack's sake) has better mana-drain/tap spells than an Enchanter...but that's SOE for you. Also, being an Enchanter...I have zero first-hand knowledge on how to go about getting Necro spells; so, as much as I'd like to chalk it up to me being a snob, I simply don't know.
Scryer's Trespass was introduced to Enchanters with the Legacy of Ykesha expansion. The quest starts in the Gulf of Gunthak zone; find Ofala Olan, located in one of the huts near the lighthouse. She gives you the quest. You have to go into Torgiran Mines and loot 2x "Gleaming Zraxthril Ore" (which drop DEEP inside Torgiran, past the bridge area), and bring them + 1x Enchanted Gold Bar back to Ofala. She'll tell you what to do from there, which mostly consists of running back and forth between Gunthak and Erudin.
I find that I don't use Scryer's Trespass all that often, anymore. The recourse takes up a valuable buff slot, which are at a premium. Theft of Thought, however, I *do* still use...though, admittedly, infrequently. The new out-of-combat regen system has pretty much rendered obsolete our mana-tap line of spells; I mean, they're not *useless*, per se, but nowhere near as vital as they used to be.

Mind Shatter Drains mana and increases your own.
it also is a damage over time.
it stacks with scryers
it won't land on a mob that a necro has mind wrack'd

It will land on a mob a necro has Mind Wracked/Flayed - you just have to click the recourse off in your buffs before this spell will land because of the mana tap component. I myself prefer to let the MW/MF recourse play out then drop this for more mana. Even if the mob dies, you're still regenerating 50 mana per tick until its done.
Does this transfer the mana to you like Scryers, or does it just drain it?

this does 435 per tick damage AND mana tap 50 per tick for 5 ticks. it also stacks with scryers trespass.

As a side note, if you are in a group with a necro that is mind wracking cast this before he does it because mind wrack blocks this spell because of the mana tap component.
