The drop rate for the bracers is not that good. Much lower lvl player than 30 can do this quest. It seems that the Battlemasters are far lower lvl that the Gobs in the tunnels or the agressors etc found in the plains between the mill and lake. Spawn points were undetermined by me. I did this quest four times, which resulted in an outcome of only the skirt. Exp was nominal at lvl 20 when I turned in the bracers themselves. A good quest as long as the battlemasters con dk blue.
My level 15 mage can solo most battlemasters near the wind mills and they are blue. The quest sounds good, turn in the bracer and get armor to sell to bards for good money.
Well the funny thing is who would wear this PoS at level 30? I guess its good that it is not no-drop, because these things would probably never be quested for, not even by a bard who might be able to use a couple charisma.
Yes, this quest can be done at earlier levels. The Goblin Battlemasters in Lake of Ill Omen are only around 16-17th level.
This armor is really meant for bards. The trade off of CHA for AC is worth it if the bard is going to be mezzing or charming. CHA makes a HUGE difference in those areas. And it's something decent to wear before they can start questing for Lambent.
Actually this armor is really meant for rangers. That is why it takes a considerable amount of good faction to turn in the components. Rangers (and Druids) begin with amiable+ faction to start with. Tho some human rangers (not all surprisingly) have indifferent faction.
Who would've thought that the male wood elven smiths would have taken so long to create skirts for themselves? They'll look so stunning at the next big ball.
