I have found a total of 6 spawns for these in Elddar Forest. As reported before, inside each end of the hollow log, one on the small hill above it, one on the same plateau as the hollow log next to the depression, and two in the depression. These seem to be set spawns, regardless of any fruit spawns around. Collecting apples and pomegranate spawns do not make these spawn.
Be aware there are also Fallen Oak Treant Branches that ground spawn as well (green in colour).

As per the title, what are these for? Says Used in tradeskills, but for what exactly?

This spawns at +993 +756 and +816, +933 about every 3 hours. This is inside the ends of a huge log and has 2 static spawns (meaning they will always be a stick) on each end totaling 4 sticks.
There are also at least 6 other random spawns, meaning they might be sticks, pomegranates, green apples or not spawn at all. They are at the /loc of +717, +1087; +604, +903; +413, +906; +411, +669; +279, +734; and +135, +595. These seem to only spawn if another spawn in the whole zone is picked up. This is all in one area of the zone and I have not found any other spawn points in the whole zone.
They can be either Fallen Straight Treant Branch or Fallen Straight Oak Treant Branch.

nope, Elddar Forest.
Foraged in Ruins of Takish-Hiz.
I have foraged several in The Elddar Forest, and none in Ruins of Takish-Hiz. Pretty sure this post was wrong.
