This item is also useable by Beastlords. Pretty decent item for them in my opinion.

Nice monk item plus you get a charisma bonus, not that monks need it, but sure can't hurt when selling to vendors. My guess is it gives almost same benefit as Dragonbone in combat (for monks that is), I'm sure for Bards its a whole different story. Not sure about higher levels but the 0.4 difference in weight between Seahorse and Dragonbone could actually cost me about 2AC if I'm over my weight limit at level 30 (only takes a few coins). So, with that in mind, you still have about 2 more AC than Dragonbone but 2 less on strength and agilty stats. Probably an even trade off in terms of combat situations. Dragonbone and Seahorse Spine both sell for about 2500pp on Lanys T'Vyl... seems fair enough.
Enduring

Neat item

Got one of these in a mini-raid, random went straight to the monks. Bards have SS bracers and that other good bracer from Icewell.
RE: Neat item
# Jun 06 2001 at 6:31 PM Rating: Default
1. SS Bracer has no CHA to it
2. Sure the Icewell Keep bracer is nice, if you don't mind destroying your Coldain faction... it's NO DROP

This is an awesome bard bracer! Especially for those that are allied with the Coldain.
What Mob

didja know that male seahorses are the ones that give birth?
RE: didja know?
# May 25 2002 at 12:12 AM Rating: Default
No they dont they just carry the fertilized eggs around in there pouches until they hatch...fish dont give birth they lay eggs.

now sea monkeys on the other hand...this is definitely a sea monkey item

Actually, some fish (collectively known as livebearers) DO give birth to live young. This includes platies and guppies.

This wouldn't be half bad for rogues either, nice AC, and str and agi... very good stats for rogues. =)

Hmmm, looks like something I'd like to get for my selling/buying gear. Being a dwarf warrior with a low charisma, even amiable and warmly shaft me at the merchants.

It looks pretty monkable too.
RE: Tis Bard
# Feb 24 2001 at 5:18 PM Rating: Default
Pretty monkable? Hell, with Ac 8, +5 Str and only 0.5 weight it's one of the best bracers a monk could get! I'd be willing to drop a fair chunk of change on one.
