This is the best Druid neck peice out there. Look at the wis 7. The most out there for the neck slot that I know of. And 8 ac? wow Only $ peice have more. 7 cha for charming. str, agl, sta is always nice for any class. And the resists, WOW! All that and mana and hp to boot! Only thing we can't use is the int, and maybee the haste. Any class would be lucky to get this. Caster's like Druids should get to roll for this too, not just melee. This is the best peice out there for them too. Scoed
what?!?!?! the best druid neck piece eh.... quest gate talisman drood, and give this to your melee that *needs* haste for what.. oo ya, melee, what droods don't do well hehe
Jaled Dar's Shade wishes you to wake the Sleeper, who is encased within his tomb. He needs the Talismen from 1 of 5 dragons of the first brood in order to open the door.
These Dragons are Lord Yelinak, Sontalak, Lendiniara, Klandicar and Zlandicar.

One of the reasons people play this game is to collect the rarest things they can. The game goes a long way beyond just fighting... unless your a warrior... wait, a warrior probably wrote that, nevermind.

Zlandicar in Necropolis drops a Similar Talisman just without the Haste. He's a rogue dragon so not on Claws/Yelinak faction. Problem is if you ever plan on going to Sleeper's Tomb you need to get one of these talisman's (5 possible Talisman's but you only need 1 to get the key) and then give the Talisman to Jaled Dar's Shade in Necropolis.
Zlandicar's Talisman is called First Brood Talisman if you want to find it's stats. Not sure if it was ever posted here, but EQlizer gameznet.com/eq had it posted.
Only other of the 5 dragons I remember the name of that has a quest Talisman is Klandicar in West Wastes and believe he actually gives a quest to Obtain his.

The Ultimate Carrot at the end of the Verant XP stick. Build a character up forever, reach Level 60, gather up a bunch of your friends, fight to the center of a Dragon filled zone, beat the Diety in charge, and maybe you'll get a shot at this toy!
No Drop Lore, but really... If you win the Loot on this item, are you EVER gonna give it up?? FOR ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY???
< Congrats to the Avatars of Discord. They have one very lucky soul out there. Finding it is an achievement. >

"Jaled Dar's Shade wishes you to wake the Sleeper, who is encased within his tomb. He needs the Talismen from 1 of 5 dragons of the first brood in order to open the door.

Anon Dumbass said;
"You only need one of the 5 talisman's to get a Sleeper's Key.
Why not let those of us who actually HAVE a Sleeper's key say these things instead of looking foolish?"
Now Mr anon dumbass you will notice that the poster said;
"He needs the Talismen from 1 of 5 dragons of the first brood in order to open the door. "
Thus meaning you do only need 1 Talismen, maybe you should learn to read and maybe even think before you open YOUR mouth and spit useless crap.
being an iksar monk i actually like having pieces that have added int and wisdom. especially if im doin trade skills.. or even just that little bump in learnin stuff a wee bit faster.. and as far as all these classes layin claim to stuff...if everybodys kos who do you think is gunna be on the pull crew? my plat worth Wertakk Nekkard Iksar monk of Brell "roll that random boss we got loot"
I would kill for my chanter to have this. Yeah yeah, flame on "but but.. haste" Blah, whatever. It gives +7 to the stats I use (as it does to any other class) plus has some hps I could use, and a decent ammount of mana. Don't forget the ac that caster's are lacking... We aren't supposed to get hit a lot, but chanter's tend to agro quite a bit, and god, it hurts. *smiles*
I don't see why it would be most benificial to monks. If you ask me hybrids would get more benefit out of it with the +40 mana and +7 int/wis being of no use to monks or other pure melee characters at all.
#Anonymous,
Posted:Jan 30 2001 at 7:55 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) this item benefits all melee classes. But i would say SK's and Pallys the most due to the int wis cha bonuses.
#Anonymous,
Posted:Feb 19 2001 at 11:21 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Um...what about rangers? This item screams rangers to me, and then sk's and pally's.
1st off I would like to clarify that on a drop like this every class would roll unless a caster had something with certain stats better and they didnt need it and therefore pass. As fot the monk thing I understand what they are saying because I have a 53 monk and the reason is not just the haste or just ac or just low wt or just stats. It's all of them because our stats on items suck compared to other classes and 8 ac is huge on a neck for us. And the haste... well monks love haste more then anyone. Not that we need it any more then a rogue or something, but we just love having it more. We are defined by our melee damage ability, therefore haste makes us do our job better. While if a paly or SK had haste they wouldn't their main job any better because their main job is not melee damage. If it was they would have duel wield. Oh and the low wt is just an added bonus.
I see that as soon as an item comes out that is a nice melee type item (ie str ac and haste etc) that is low weight monks lay claim more than others to it - sure all these MAKE it damn nice for a monk - but pick a single stat on here that any other melee class wouldnt find damn nice about it? *monks - back in line with the rest of the melee*
This item (I think) Was made to fit whoever got it. Plain and simple. Ever Class every Race. So Lets go Farm it! (thats not going to happen I thik but we can dream can't we?
Wow what a great item to have. I would definitely agree that this is somewhat wasted on a monk and that a paladin or shadowknight would benefit from this items stats far more, however, any melee class should be in on the lotto.
The thing im wondering is, what is the haste% on this unbelievable item? Are we talkin 20-30%? Or is this one of those unstackable low haste items that you can hardly tell the difference with.
And btw..for the guy who suggests "farming" this item...it's NO DROP...:)
Everyone keeps saying it would benefit a Paladin or Shadow Knight far more. What about Rangers? Care to explain how it benefits a Paladin or Shadow Knight more than a Ranger? It was even said this favors damage-dealers more than others, and I agree, and Rangers ARE damage-dealers.
Who benefits from haste more? A dual-wielding Ranger using 2 fast, damaging weapons or a Paladin using a moderate speed, damaging 1-handed weapon or a slow, powerful 2-hander? The answer is clear. This has excellent AC for a neckpiece, and Rangers need all the AC they can get. This has haste, which is far more effectively utilized on a dual-wielding fighter than a fighter using a single 1-handed weapon or a 2-handed weapon. That's a fact. The stats are nice for anyone, with the exception of the wisdom and mana, which are ESSENTIAL to a Ranger's effectiveness in a group (at least one who is good at playing their class). Rangers rely on their mana (in my opinion, and in my personal playing style) far more than Shadow Knights or Paladins do.
However, I still think this item is primarily for all MELEE CLASSES. True, it has caster's stats but casters do NOT get the full range of power from this item. It would be a waste on a caster who could achieve those SAME stats, or close to it, through FAR more common items. Don't be greedy, casters.
I agree that this neck is very good for meleers but think about this as a druid who wouldn't love the ac I mean even if it is only 8 that is still really nice and all the resistances and wisdom buffs being as how almost every druid I know is agroed on by that caster the second he/she hits their heal hotkey :(
Ok. Think about it? how many people would it take to kill this dragon hmm? I think he ment camp (in shifts perhaps) and get one for everyopne trying to kill it! Or maybe he was just kidding. Farming dosn't always mean camp an Item and then sell it? it simply means camping an item to get for certain people. be it that a person is buying or its for a person in a guild.
