sometimes on the sony forums they hold forum challenges, and rarely those challenges will offer an illusion item as a prize. there is a list of chooseable prizes which includes this mask. this is the only way to obtain the item if you don't already have one.
I won one such challenge once, but I already had this item so I picked a mask of the devious. all/all gnome mask oh yeah!
the most recent challenge to offer illusions was the mr and mrs norrath 2009 contest. before that it was the halloween 08 challenges, and before those was a challenge last may which resulted in the "eye on norrath" section of eqplayers.

bah... typo... guildmate and I WERE (not we) able to abtain....
It's "obtain" not "abtain" and the zone is Devastation, for crying out loud. My English teacher would tear her hair out if she ever played this game O.o

I as well as several of my guildmates were able to abtained one of these. Nice and fun little toy. Now to have some fun in devistation HEHE
