You have to be kidding, right? You are level 35 with a soulfire, yet you feel compelled to judge me (using incredibly bad grammar) because I have a better weapon than my epic (which I got a few days after I posted my original comment). Excuse me while the fog of irony lifts from the room.
Well, if you must know, I bought my first GB at level 20 - spending every cp I had earned in my career to that point. It served me well until level 30, then I sold it (before it was made no-drop). I quested for it again at level 40 in preparation for my epic. To be honest with you, questing for it was a total drag.
Let me enlighten you, as you seem to be very young and immature. This game may be called EverQUEST, but questing for items is usually more tedious than fun. I feel relief when I complete a quest, not satisfaction. Endless travel and camping is not my idea of fun. Killing powerful creatures with a good group is way more fun for me (and usually more rewarding).
This is my opinion. You don't have to share it, but you need to respect it. Not all players are hardcore gamers. Some of us are casual gamers that have a real life. I only have a finite amount of time that I can play EQ, so I need to maximize it. Endless camping, or waiting for a raid to start just cuts into my play time.
I may just get the epic anyway one day. I have most of the parts already. I am definately going to buy the book. No one I know is low enough to fight Vox or Naggy, and no one on my server feels compelled to hunt Kunark or Velious dragons when Luclin and PoP mobs are way more profitable.
When you get to the 50's, then you will see that what I say is true. Then you can come back here and apologize to me, but please learn how to use punctuation marks by then.
