Pretty sure this is the skyshrine equivalent of fine steel. Why do people expect every item posted to be THE ABSOLUTE BEST item of its kind ever? Its unreasonable. If there wasn't any booby loot (and this item is not bad as far as booby loot goes) what would you sell back to vendors? You would spend all of your time at high levels auctioning off the "special" items you won on your last trip to skyshrine/necropolis/etc..
Kinda nice to see somethign other than FS drop off zone trash in the high level zones.

More then likely if it is 'random droped' is randomed droped the way Shieldstorm and Obulus shroud and RBG is in Sebelis. From that angle its pretty yucky. Its name is far too spiffy for such trashy stats too.

All i know is so far i havent been very impressed with alot of the velious drops -- other than in Frozen shadow -- i mean come a weapon that has the velium shards effect proccing at what 24 i think -- 12 dd at 24 is stupid and you have to be close to lvl 30 to get one so whats the point!!!

This is an uncommon drop for all guardians and sentries in Skyshrine. They sell for a little more than FS weapons (roughly 4 - 6pp each). Complaining about these is like complaining that the Hill Giants in Rathe only drop FS weapons or that Spectres drop rusty scythes.
As for Velium weapons, they are also a FS equivilent weapon. Using them is silly but they are perfect for pets. Give 2 velium weapons to a skelly or elemental pet and you suddenly have them doing an extra 12 damage every 4th swing. It's not much, but it really adds up in the long run.
