Seals of Darkhollow
Making a seal of Darkhollow while it may seem simple is a decidedly difficult project.
There are three different methods with which you can make a seal.
Smiths will need to follow
a pattern and work some unique steel, with some similarly unique water with two platinum bars in their forge and cool it with some pure liquid mana. They must be sure to shape it properly, and that the pattern of the seal is precise.
Tailors work very similarly
and will need to work with a pattern, some unique silk or leather, and platinum thread. They will take that and soak it in a mixture of the same water that the smiths use and pure liquid mana. Here you will be sewing the pattern with the platinum thread. It seems that fine silk, magnificent hide, mottled
hide and shimmering silk are the materials that tailors have to work with.
Gnomes that want to do this work as one of their devices will still need to follow the pattern. Instead of water, they will melt the steel that smiths use in a mold, specific for
each metal, heat it with four gnomish heat sources, and coat it with two platinum bars, and cool it with some pure liquid mana. Strangely enough, they will want to do this in one of their large toolkits instead of the forge, as they will need to assemble the parts from the mold while it is still hot.
Be sure you note this down, because you will need to make patterns from this book. Get yourself a quill, large bottle of ink, and roll of superb vellum. Put those in a book binding, and when you are done, you will have a stack of seal patterns for your use.
