Text: The bearer of this note is invited to dinner in the grand Dreadspire Keep.

On using:

The Formal Dinner Invitation has been added to your keyring.

The dinner invitation unfolds of its own accord and floats in the air. Your name, scribbled in crimson ink, is featured prominently across the top of the document. In a flowing calligraphy are the words, `Esteemed guest, we bid you welcome to Dreadspire Keep. Allow the Master the privilege of being your gracious host for dinner, relaxation, enlightenment and entertainment. Stay as long as you wish'. Before you can finish reading the invitation, you black out and find yourself elsewhere.

This shows up on your /keys as:

Depths of Darkhollow - You have been formally invited as a guest to Dreadspire Keep

I believe the Formal Dinner Invitation is singularly useful because it allows you to zone into DSK by clicking on the statue at the NW of Stoneroot Falls, rather than the slightly more tedious entrance in the hive.

Edit: Corrected the zone typo

Since I just went and found the statue, I have to add that it is in the NW area of the WEST half of Stoneroot hehe. Had to go look at the location in a post below to find it.
dsk entrance

It is located NW of Throatripper. It also is close to shore and blends into the rock.

the "a guest of dreadspire" or whatever (the non agro mobs inside the building part of the zone) also drop these, and rather frequently, in about 40 minutes of hunting we had them start rotting after everyone in group had got one

When I IDed it, it gave the lore as stated (about the crest of Dreadspire), and on Other filter it said "This item appears to be written in Common Tongue."

after getting this invatation I went to Stone root falls. In the Far left half of the zone ( the big round half ) I found a statue of a woman holding a sword ( loc is 938 , 1567 , 47) If you look at the map and imagine the round room as a clock its at about 11 oclock.
also drops off kos drachnids
# Jun 01 2006 at 7:42 PM Rating: Decent
Also drops off any of the kos drachnids behind the laboratory in the tunnels. My understanding is that it can drop off any of the kos mobs in the zone. It does NOT appear to drop from any mobs that con indifferent.

also drops off kos drachnids

Not lore anymore, and since the last patch, doesnt have charges (can use it again and again). You must have it on you to use the stoneroot shortcut though.

You only have to have the Formal Dinner Invitation on your toon for the first time you click on the statue in Stoneroot. Your /key ring is updated upon first click in. To verify that its on your /key ring, type /key and look for the following text:

"Depths of Darkhollow - You have been formally invited as a guest to Dreadspire Keep"

Now you no longer need to carry the Formal Dinner Invitation on that toon.
dreadlands?

I found it to be at LOC Pos 951 Pos 1585 in Stoneroot. The statue is the same as the ones at DSK zone in. Hope that helps.

This should be put on your /key the first time you click up in SRF, but it currently doesnt
Dinner Invitation
# Oct 03 2005 at 6:47 AM Rating: Decent
Yea its pretty common drop in Dreadspire.
Its used for the alternative zonein to Dreadspire, in Stoneroot, where you click a statue, insteed of going all the way through Hive.
Its a 1 charge only. So stack up on them ;)

It's a LORE ITEM and not one charge only.

This item is really a semi common drop off lots of other mobs other then the name one listed. No clue what it is used for yet though.
