I can indeed confirm the runed blade still drops. Hehe... very, very rare, mind you... haven't seen it in the bazaar in a number of months. But, I wanted it for my warrior... so I decided to try and go camp the Knights of Sathir in and around the VS room. After a long camp... 8 minutes short of 12 hours, I finally got it. Had camped it the night before and earlier that day for a numbers of hours as well. Can barely wait to use it on my warrior now..

Got it in Bazaar for 20k... a steal IMHO.
Well when I right click for the details box it claims it takes a reagent... was afraid they had nerfed my baby so went out to check... not a gemstone on me anywhere... it procced like always... no reagent required.
The data thing is an error... OR is a precursor for nerfage. I dunno. I think they just cut and pasted the info from the Rune III spell IMHO.
So as of late Sept 2003 no reagent required for the Rune III proc on this weapon.

When you right click an item all effects list the regent and I have never come across one that needed it. I think it was SoE being lazy and using the text from the spells it's based on.

Hiya all
i have had one of these for ages, hell my warrior was able to solo beyond 45 with it in some zones AND get exp. My question is does this blade still drop, i've no seen anyone confirm that it still does drop on Bertoxx and seen poeple sell it for around 40k which i find amazing if you compare it with PoP stuff but if it no longer drops that would explain some of the price increase.

I have this on Prexus server. Granted its an old server and prices are very low on most items new and old this is one item that is SOOOOOO rare that even tho its a kunark / karnors item its still worth well over 35k.

I got the Runed Blade the other night on The Rathe Server. I havent come across hardly any info on this weapon. Im also having some difficulty getting a PC on it. Is this weapon worth using for a ranger? If not, what is a fair PC on it? I realize that each server'seconomy is different. I would appreciate any input anyone might have on this. Especially from someone who has used it. What is the value of the item?

I bought it for 22K and sold it a year later for 35K. I rarely used the thing, because it was slow and put out little damage. Sure it was nice when it proc'd Rune III, but Rune III is damage absorb 230, and when mobs are hitting at 100+, it sure doesn't last long. Usually what I'd do is kill a lowbie mob in some zone until the thing proc'd then go and fight... but then again, that's only one free set of 230hps, unless you really want to go back and do it again.
I'd have to say it is most effective from 45-50ish when the mobs hit for less... still, make sure your dexterity is high, because you want that thing to proc as much as possible.

Ha, another person that does not know what they are missing.
I have this blade. I use it now as a MA in POV. I only use it though to trim down on the mobs riposites. 1hs, mobs here riposite like theres no tomorrow. And I only use it if a Enchanter or Shaman is in the group and buffs my dex. This sword is a godsend. It proc's constantly. On average, 5 minute fight, it procs no less then 10 times. 10 x 230 = 2,300hp. That will put a warrior with 7700hp buffed to the 10k mark. 2,300hp that the cleric does not have to heal back. The only downside to this weapon, is its dmg. With 270 strength I can crack 200's with this sword with an average hit being 175. When I was below 60 and hunting in OS with a group, I went 10 rounds of mobs without taking a single hit. Mind ya there was a shaman and enchanter in group and mobs were slowed, but it was an amasing feat in itself. The most I had seen it proc in OS was 14 times off one mob. In PoV, I got tired of counting after the 20th.
Ask an enchanter of High level what happens to them when they cast a rune of any kind on an MA in group/raid. It's an instant agro buff when they do. So, when you proc this on yourself, agro comes right to you. Love this sword, highest bid I have seen was 125kp.

I have this sword on the drinal server and looking to sell it if anyone is interested. May even consider some high end warrior gear, send tell to gakpak.
I have this blade. It has the same graphic as a Arbitors Combine Great Sword and as many others like it. It does proc Rune 3 and it procs real often. The proc is a 275hp damage absorbing shield it has a little more hp than the enchanters spell. In a normal fight with mobs in OS, it procs 3 to 6 times per fight depending on dex. Never seen less then 3 procs. Most I have seen on 1 mob was 11 times. I played MA on several occasions and my clerics love me. I can go 10 rounds of mobs with max dex and never get hit in OS. It does not require any reagents. It drops very, very very rare inside KC off the Knights. This is an extremely rare drop, if you did a PC in bazar noone will answer because they dont know because they never seen it. The last one I know of that dropped was over a year ago. This was about the time they said it got nerfed and no longer drops. I am on Emarr server, interested parties send tells to Adom level 60 Warrior

I recently paid 76K for this thing (talked the guy down from 80), and I must say I would NOT sell it for double that. This thing is VERY rare- I've been playing for 2+ years and this is the only one I have come across.
But anyway, I've also got a fungi for when on the rare occasion the rune III wears off, and I have become nearly invincible. I have not been below 75% health since getting this thing. The guy I bought this from said he was selling it because he was retiring his warrior and was planning on twinking his son's druid for his birthday. If he ever decided to revive that warrior, he'll be sorry!

Hey, I'm a 49 Paladin, and I'm thinking of buying this blade for 3.5k, and I think thats a REALLY nice price... Ok well, I have a few questions...
What does this baby look like? If the look is awesome, I will definantly spend the cash.
I can get around 120dex, and as a 49 Paladin, I like to solo in Eastern Wastes as much as I can. Will this thing proc a good amount?
What would be better with the new Palaidn only 25% haste, Arbitors Combine Greatsword(I know, kepe it for wisdom purposes, but I mean for fighting), or this Runed Blade?
And, when it procs, if a spell is cast on you, does it absorb damage from the spell?
I think no matter what, I am getting this blade. It is TOTALLY uber, and I would love it for raids/main tanking, basically in any situation I would love this. Any answers to any of these questions would be greatly appreciated.

Not worth it? are you nuts? The regent for Rune III is a mere jasper (you can buy a stack for about 10pp, aka 2looted mobs) and the rune gives a few hundred hp damage absorb. I would say regent or not it is still "worth it".

I did a favor for a guy he gives me some Cobalt arms. I need more armor so I decide to sell the arms and get maybe a full set of decent armor for my 27 warrior, when a guy offers me this in a trade do I keep or sell. Also how much is this worth did I get something good or did I get taken ?

if you dont have a higher level to get armor for, dont sell the cobalt, if you are on xegony, send Chitos a tell and i will try to buy your cobalt vambraces, but i am willing to pay well for the cobalt

Yes it dropped last night while camping Vs remains of a Knight of sathir . Heh Haradgrim not sure if u were in the VS2 raiding party last night but if not then i guess it dropped twice in the same night?!

I have one of these, with a dex buff and boon of the garou I proc nearly constantly...making the healer's job a lot easier. Oh and no component necessary.
