Having hunted geo's a fair bit I can say that in 100+ kills I have never looted the clay off anything other then a Geonid Shaman. They drop them nearly every time it seems. Today out of 7 shaman kills we got 5 blocks of living granite. Any idea what these sell for to tinkerers?

5 out of 6 kills? Wow, I got 3 off probably 40 kills tonight.

Drops off of the Geonids in Waking Lands and is an uncommon to rare drop. The WL Geo's are in the level 45-50 range.
