Running by on a PoG Raid, I noticed this guy had what looked like a Lute in his hand. Is this the Flute? Or is it something new? Didn't have time to stop and kill him, will repost if I ever get around to killing him. (Went Back several days later, and he didn't have it.)

On a seperate visit to Wastelands for a guildie, we found a named Faun in the tower. He was pretty easy to take down for a group of 5 (4 being level 65). The flute was the drop off it. I wish I could remember his name (sorry.) You will know him because he has 2 wood nymphs casting around him. (They didn't bother aggo'ing on us)
Faun Outcasts drop them too. A lot lower level and no faction hit. There are 2 camps of 3 fauns on the East end of the zone.
Explain to me exactly which 'Wind' song I use to test the effectiveness of a wind instrument? So far the only thing I've come up with is trying faction song at a point where with a normal wind instrument you would get up to one faction and with one like this you would supposedly get to a higher faction. Aside from that I have no wind based songs at level 51 that can be used to boost or reduce anything that would be measurable aside from the faction which isn't really measurable beyond the fact that one may work better than another. I mean does invis work on 20% more mobs or tiny bubbles now makes you able to breathe 10% better underwater or what? With a drum it's easy to tell the difference between a drum drum and a mistmoore drum or nostrolo tamborine just by looking at the changes to your resists using any of the rythms line of songs and with a lute hymm or niv's does the same thing but none of a bard's wind songs has a measurable effect on anything.

Crission's Pixie Strike (lvl 28)
Target: Mesmerize, -MR, knock back
Song of Twilight (lvl 53)
Target: Mesmerize, -MR, Pull effect
Anstlich's Assonance (lvl60)
Target: Slow + DoT(10 ticks)
Last I heard you can measure magic resistance debuffs and DoT's in numerical form to calculate a percentage. You can get your data by Dueling a friend.
Aside from that the charisma is beneficial for charm and mez (both wind based songs).

You know I usually avoid posting on things like this but, for every one of you that is whining about not being able to read the stats and oooo I had to squint and all that crap, they are on the top of the screen. Allakazam so nicely posts the stats in a text form for you so you don't HAVE depend on the crappy pictures that frequently get sent with these items. At least this one isn't super compressed or overpixelated. So thier logo isn't to your liking, they got the item, they sent it in (I didn't see you talking about how your pic was better) let them take pride in their accomplishment as small as it was.

Two questions:
1) There is no faction hit listed. Is it true that you don't take a hit with Court of Tunare when killing Fauns?
2) Any idea what sort of bonus to song you get when using this item? Is it worth the effort of being backstabbed for 250+ hp?

But because most of the stuff I've seen from guilds is this type o' crap we're seeing here. I'm a casual gamer. I come to this site to look up stuff about equipment, quests, etc. and to look at items I may NEVER get myself. I don't come here to have to look at logos for guilds. If you and/or your guild get an item, by all means, take pride in it. Just have enough respect (something else I don't see a lot of from a lot of guilds) for everyone else that is going to be looking at this item to not make it so durned hard to read. Use the open space. :steps down off soap box muttering to himself about all the kids playing this game and making it hard on the 'old' folks:

I came here to find out more info about an item, and find nothing but posts bickering about graphics. And EVERY one of you (except Belize) was hiding behind "anonymous!"
I'm not saying that this isn't a worthwhile topic, cuz it is. Just take it to the general forums. That way MORE people see it (not just the few looking at this specific item) and it doesn't clutter this board. Thanks!

no it comes from just any faun they are quite tough though.

look at 95% of the stat pictures. what do they all have in common? there is a ton of unused space in the lower right hand region. if you want to put your name, guildname, or picture of item equiped, why not use this space? having the giant MI of midnight bebehind the stats makes them hard to read. it is frustrating, and i plan on earning these items for no other reason than to turn in a stat pic with no visual obstructions.
Its 2002 and I don't see your picture!

'that guy is so black i cant read the stupid stats, can he not be so black please? geez people im tryin to read the stats. im ganna post a thing a mile long cause i had to squint for half a second.. so THAT's why i turned off /ooc and /shout when i was lvl 5.. cmon people dont be so whiney all the time.
