#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 01 2001 at 7:11 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) But I'm tired of reading these posts "druids screwed again" "why can't druids wear?" Its starting to **** me off a great deal, if your so upset over this then pick a new class, but you'll probably just find something new to whine about...why can't Wizards wear plate? The more I read your posts you just help prove my fact. Now I'm sorry to all those druids out there that play your class well, I have a few good druid buddies as well, but there are too many ppl that want to PL their druid to 50 and farm "phat lewt". I'm a magician and have plenty of qualms about the game to my particular class, but I don't ***** all over forums and message boards. There are alot of weapons and equipment in this game that makes no sense why other classes can not wear but you deal with it and move on. !Better equipment doesn't mean that your any better of a player!
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 30 2001 at 3:08 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Even me, I whine about whines. I'm tired of these whines...

#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 15 2001 at 11:25 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Humm.. lets see, do Magicians have quests? Yes..
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 28 2001 at 6:11 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Thank you! I see this item and wonder why Verent didnt include druids in the mix(like they always DONT!). All I can think of besides the ever so HARD quest armor in thurgadin is a BCP(not wis based), formans tunic(leather look), shroud of nature(leather again...hmmmmm), and cured tizmak(regular tizmak) tunics. As I can see what kind of wis based tunics there are for druids(besides going to the planes) for non-drop items we druids GOT SCREWED!!! Thats all there is to it! My wis is almost 185 and im 35th. With SoV armor and weapons its easier to get it there yes but I would have atleast included druids to wear maybe CHAIN? SOMTHING OTHER THEN STUPID NEWBIE LOOKING LEATHER!!!! God! I know lot of high level druids that get mistaken for low 20's ppl b/k of the leather look that they have. And their 50+! Yesh! All I can say to verent is INCLUED us in the mix once in awhile!

OMG! i'm lvl 35 with 185wis! someone help me. that shows that yes you've got high wisdom items.
It also shows that all you worried about is "your" mana. Have you ever looked at RPGs. Like table top games. such as White Wolf products or TSR. where "low" stats encourge people to be creative? and did you not read the post of druids being "priests of nature". This was the case in ancient germania. where the first druids where rumored to be. aka. Germany. so. I see verant as trying to stick with traditional roleplaying and history when the "*****" the druid. And if you ever play AD&D. Druids are just as limited. but I STILL play my AD&D druid cause its fun! do it for the FUN! not to whine cause you think the whole world is out to get you cause you deiced to play a primary solo class.

Oh shut up....

I am tired of the babies that play this game. Waaa.. I can't wear this...I can't do that...why can class a do this and I get ripped. You all lose sight of the fact that this is a game played for amusement. Get a grip.

Time for a reality check.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 05 2001 at 11:51 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hehe. Just wonder Anon, but aren't you wining also? The answer is YES! #Anonymous, Posted: Mar 15 2001 at 11:16 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) humm well elves are supposed to be able to wear magic chain, including Druids... If you don't believe me look at the cultural armor. The concept of this not being druid is insane... IT IS DRAGONSCALE.. NOT METAL. why couldn't a druid wear armor made out of animal scales.. Why would any of those classes have any right to Dragon armor more than a Druid? The answer? Verant had determined that the primary stat for Druids is Stamina.. STA?? not wisdom.. Why? heck if I know unless they expect druids to be tanks. I guess it is so they can carry all of the over weight items they can use.
#Anonymous, Posted: May 04 2001 at 7:34 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) take a look at the quest info. hrmm.... not metal? what's that last piece in the puzzle? an undyed medium breastplate made by a skilled blacksmith? OMG!!!! IT IS METAL!!!! i guess that is why druids don't get to wear it. as far as sta being primary stat, think of kiting. what do you normally do? run? uh oh. stamina so you can run longer? hrmm.... sounds like a conspiracy to me. i'm there for you bro. while we're at it, let's get them to make everyone able to wear plate that is buffed to the hilt with stats and be able to take hits as well as tanks. lord knows i could handle it when mez breaks and stuff comes after me
RE: Druids got screwed yet again!
# Apr 27 2001 at 1:25 PM Rating: Decent
once again. we come to the subject of dragons are "magical" beasts. not natural. therefore armor made of their scales would not consitute of leather. please people read RPG books. read history and you will see Verant did an awesome job of sticking with historical/fantasy druids.
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 16 2001 at 4:32 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) hah... i hate druids... not just the class but the whiners that play them... hope you all get nerfed down to wearing cloth! that adds no look! And weighs 5.0 each peice! And all your spells fizzle! Forever!

#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 30 2001 at 3:03 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You know, I don't you sucking has anything to do with whatever class you play. I think you suck because of your personality. You may hate druids (or dr00dz whatever), but you gladly take their charity when they offer it. A fine job of repaying your debt to society. Ah well, I guess someone had to play the class called "Scumbag". You must be level 60 by now.
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 19 2001 at 10:39 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok, you know I'm really sick of hearing druids whine about equipment, and in case you are wondering, I AM one.
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 23 2001 at 2:59 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I agree but its not just druids that get the bad rap either. I play a warrior, and I think I do a good job at it. The people that play a warrior and go berserk with no self regard (or regard for the group) and get everyone killed are the people that give warriors a bad name. Yes, it does take a little strategy to play a warrior; maybe not in a group situation (try pulling mobs without a agro-reducing spell, hehe).
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 12 2001 at 2:14 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Woushi, the dragon that drops the scale, is a DRUID. Why can DRUIDS not wear this??? How many dragons must there be before we get a decent uber chest armor like this??

By the way...
# Feb 07 2001 at 2:36 AM Rating: Decent
The absolute main stat that most bards pay attention to is Charisma. This is probably the highest Charisma buffing chest-armor I've seen, unless I'm forgetting something. So that's one reason why bards should be able to wear this, no?

Don't turn away a class until you know about it. We have no reason to use the wisdom, but why not the charisma?
Stop whining
# Feb 02 2001 at 9:57 PM Rating: Decent
Stop your complaining; and I mean everyone, druids too. I am a druid and I could care less whether or not I can wear this. Sure the stats are nice, but if you know how to play your character then you don't need all the extras.

My guess is that the ones who complain the most probably also complain about anyone who has anything better than they, even outside of EQ. A true druid doesn't give a damn about material possessions.

As for all the dr00d haters: show yourselves, let us see your character names and servers. You hate us here, but when it comes to the game you're the first to ask "Can I have a SoW", "Can I have a TP", "Can you buff me".

I have no problem being generous when it comes to buffs. I usually throw in an extra along with what was asked for. This is why I chose my first character to be a druid, I like helping others.

I couldn't agree more. Being a Warrior, I often end up turning to a Druid for various things. I've got nothing but respect for them and their devotion. Personally, this is an item I'd never use. Sure, the AC boost is nice, but I wouldn't want it.

I agree with the trades post justifying why a warrior would use this breastplate. Wisdom and charisma can help if wisdom is the higher statistic over intelligence. Charisma does help with prices for trades or sales. Shadow Knights and bards are intelligence casters, though, so a +20 wisdom/+20 intelligence, along with say stamina or agility boosts, would make more sense.

I am master of many trades including smithing, so believe me when I say that rogues can NOT by default wear a fine steel breastplate, ever: they are limited to chain armours when it comes to player made gear. I belive one of the quest components is the player made fine steel plate gear. However, BOTH intelligence and wisdom casters (and this does include enchanter and druid classes who were sited as examples) CAN wear metal: cultural armours!!

As this gear is magical all the previous venom and posturing was unwarranted; a magical piece of gear can be any thing. There is not limit to class or race on quite a few things in Norrath because of this truth.

The brilliant emerald green of this breastplate is one of my favourite colours to wear in real life, and as some one who is very disgusted at the lack of decorum and lack of brown and/or scanty tops afforded me to wear in Norrath I was naturally disappointed that shaman CAN wear this top yet druids and druidesses cannot. The rabid attacks on an entire class is uncalled for and unwarranted. Many druids who act in an unseemly, or way unbefitting a steward of the lands and living creatures, do so after playing other classes and did not choose to be a protector of nature as druids and rangers are instructed to do.

Some of us began life as a druid or druidess to best help others, without knowing the limitations on gear we would have in the future. Any one who has ever had to do a lot of healing in a grouping situation knows that mana means more heals and AC means less chance of dying before the battle is over with. Mobs go for the healer first normally because the group tends to fall very quickly without a healer. If you've ever had a druid or druidess as your primary healer you would be grateful not acrid that a mid to high level player might have more than "newbie" to low level AC gear on. That extra wisdom, which equates to more mana, may also mean a last ditch heal or an emergency evacuation when needed. Please don't begrudge another class for wanting something that similar or the same that other wisdom casters can use; it's not logical.

As far as choices in druid breastplates let me say this: I became a master smith long before it was found I could not even make a breastplate I could actually use that adds wisdom (plus four I believe). This breast plate (high elf smithed) is so expensive to make, with such hard to find components, that I have never seen it on my race let alone on a druid. Tell me, what breast plates could a druid quest for prior to Velious? What breast plates before Velious could a druid and other classes quest for prior to Velious? Is it so wrong to ask for equal or considerate treatment in this matter? I do not believe so, so to attack those who do is wrong and mean spirited.

I have helped many other classes who can use this breastplate with their class armour quests. Is it so much to ask that there be something pretty which is not just wearable for my race but which I could wear too? True, if this dragon is "good" faction and not an "evil" or "rogue" dragon like Vox or Nagafen no good ranger or druid should be looking for it's hide. However that could be said to all paladins and most clerics and other classes for whom this quest was designed. Please be more thoughtful and less inflammatory in your remarks in public venues. Verant might actually pay attention if there were less venom on these pages.

Tradespuppy and Devout Priestess of Tunare

P. S. Yes for those of you not familiar with "real" protectors of animals that means I play a druidess character. I imagine if this is an evil allied dragon I will be helping my paladin, ranger, and warrior friends who will certainly want this gorgeous gear. Were you naysayers people who could use this gear and who now definitely do NOT want my help with this quest???
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 26 2001 at 1:13 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) How can you even compare druids to other wisdom casters in their ability to use armor? Clerics are plate-based, shaman are chain-based, and druids are leather-based. This was known from the start upon choosing a class. I new the restrictions, and I began playing just after beta. All classes listed above are either plate or chain-based classes. This decision was made due to the type of armor, and druids were not being specifically excluded.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 25 2001 at 1:37 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Very nice argument for your class, wish I knew who you were so I could congratulate you on your thoughtful insight. I play a Wizard, however, it does seem to me that Druids were left out of this, considering they are also Wisdom based Mana casters. Not many items put out for only Necros, Enchanters and Magicians. Hopefully this isnt a trend to be continued by Verant. Although I dont doubt but that they will continue to feed the fued between classes in such a manner.
Hope this helps some...

Why WAR ROG BRD may need WIS CHA?
Ever think about trade skills or poison making?
WIS affects the rolls for successfully creating items, and if you've notice Melee type don't usually start high in WIS , INT or CHA.
CHA affects the prices they pay for everything from the merchant. Low CHA characters may pay 1000's more in pp over their lifetime than high CHA ones.
Also CHA may affect the Taunt abililty < read this somewhere... not sure if true > if that's the case , you casters better hope your tanks have high CHA the next you cast a 600+ dmg DD spell and that HG gets that look in his eye of wanting to make love to your still warm corpse.

It was reported over 2 months ago Wisdom had no effect on the success rate of skills or trade skills unless it is higher in number than your Intellegence. Successes are based on your higher of the two stats so Wisdom will not help an SK by any means.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 18 2001 at 7:46 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) My but y'all are catty aren't you? I'm a Druid. I freely admit I'm a bit dismayed that I won't be able to use an item that has 20 wisdom on it. As Clerics, Paladins, Rangers and I * think* SK's are all wisdom based caster/fighters I can see why THEY get this kicking armor with the high AC and Wisdom, they hardly had any to begin with they need the boost. But someone explain to me what in the name of Tunare a Warriors, Bards or Rogues need 20 wisdom for. I think Veriant went a bit batty on this one and gave the item to 3 too many clases. So it's metal, I can't wear it, it sucks harshly, I'll cry in a tree someplace, but those other folks? The wisdom is TOTALLY wasted on them and I just think that the item shouldn't be wearable by folks that have no use for the second largest stat adjustment. Just me. I'm odd like that. Seems a waste, that's all.

I as a bard would use this because of the +10cha and the 20wis would be nice cause I would keep missed notes to a minimum.

#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 14 2001 at 3:30 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Alright, look. What's this fuss about the 'need' for decent armor/weapons? On the weapon side, when do you actually get in close enough to what you're fighting to hit it, and if you do this, are your weapon skills anywhere near your level caps? Druid's aren't meant for melee, yer better off getting some hand items instead of weapons. On the armor side, yes, this would be a very nice item for druids (20 WIS? Geez) but why THIS armor? My friend who has a 49 (probably 50 now) druid on Veeshan has 206 WIS easy..and every point after 200 is only 1 mana so why worry about this if you can already do it? (He has no Vermi, turned it down to go out on a date ;P) Second, AC does jack crud for all of you; because I don't care if you have the 75 AC Qeynos shield and full cobalt on a druid (if they could use that), you're natural AC has bene horribly LOW since lvl1; you're still gonna die in a couple hits. Druids aren't meant as tanks or melee; your strength is in your spells..should worry more about using what you can get to get 200 WIS and then +mana gear rather than more AC and some weapon. Besides, there's 3 classes these BP is for, RNG, SHM, PAL that use WIS..and it's debatable whether wis helps bards or not; many of those are somewhat capable of melee. (well, sort of.)My little druid who's like 10-15 has 150 WIS..it's not that hard..

#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 12 2001 at 5:00 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This stinks. My Enchanter can't wear this. I want the extra charm. What gives Verant the right to say that Casters can't wear chain and plate class armor. Get a clue druids and stop whining. When you signed up to be a druid you should know that you can only wear LEATHER!!! Be happy when they give you druid specific metal armor. Saying a Druid can use chain and plate armor is just as bad as my Enchanter using a Mythril 2 hander.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 13 2001 at 5:10 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Alright look, your ocmplaining about "Why can't casters wear this?" and saying how unfair it is that "Casters can't wear plate or chain" yet your bad mouthing druids for wanting some sweet looking armor that gives 20 WIS whiel druids are a more melee class anywho since we can wear leather armor and casters can't. You get plenty of awsome robes. We get one thast ahrd as hell to get. Shamans get this armor. We almost the same class rather then some spells and weapon choices. WHY DOES EVERYONE BAD MOUTH DRUIDS? "THey get every skill in the game" "It's easy being a druid" "dr00ds SuK" We get cool spells but ew pay in armor and sucks, bad.(PS: Clerics suck ;) j/k)

#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 16 2001 at 3:49 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I WAS BEING SARCASTIC! I'm just trying to state my displeasure with those people who think they don't have to follow the class rules. The rules state that Druids don't wear metal armor, except for their specalty armor (plains). Every piece of high wisdom equipment that druids can't wear, because it is metal armor, usually has a post starting with "Druids are shafted AGAIN!!!". A caster wearing full plate and wielding a two handed sword... Some people really can't tell sarcasm. If I wanted that I would go back to The Realm.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 21 2001 at 8:21 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Who the hell said this was metal armor in the first place? It's dragonscale, made from the hide of an animal.. what is leather made from? The hide of another animal.

#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 07 2001 at 3:54 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) A component in the quest is a fine steel breastplate. But, it is obviously not limited to plate classes, for Rangers, Rogues, and Shaman can wear it. The fine steel had nothing to do with the choosing of which classes could wear it.

And don't give me the "well have you ever played a druid" crap, because I haven't, and I'm glad I haven't, because i wouldn't want to be the same class as whiners like you!
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 12 2001 at 11:12 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Shutup newbie...if you knew anything about the game, you would know intelligence is a lot easier to max than wisdom. It's much easier to have a higher base int than wis and int items are generally more abundant and cheaper than wis items. I think it's pretty screwed up that druids can't wear this tunic. I always hear about all this great cleric and shammy quest armor. What about us ?!?! We like to quest too. I'm relieved to see that SoV brought a new line of armor that druids can quest for in Thurgadin. I'm pretty sure there is a quest for class-specific armor for every class. Don't talk **** about other classes until you know the real deal.

If wis is so hard to max then how come my level 35 druid has 180 wis.... and i still have a few slots left that don't have any wis in it. And that's all including that i have NO wis on my chest item because i like the look of the BCP better than just plain leather. Wis is not that hard to max. Yes, it sucks that druids can't wear this, but oh well... i'm sure every single person that plays this game could name one item that his/her class/race cannot equip that would help their stats out greatly... it happens. Yes, it sucks that druids don't have any quest class only armor outside of SoV... but then again, neither do monks except for two robes that i can think of.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 28 2001 at 11:21 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Well I am considered to be fairly well outfitted for a druid at 53rd.I have 200 wis but have only achieved this in the last week.To do this I can not wear my vermic crown or equip a weapon(I have CGS+Paw combo). My guildmate is a cleric- at 51 has wis in the 230s and has a weapon equipped. It is in my opinion much harder for a Druid to max out on his/her primary casting stat than any other pure caster class. To post something anti Druid class players from a viewpoint of admitted total ignorance is quite breathtakingly stupid. Also what does it get you just to make sure other people can't have something too?Not only are you stupid you are spiteful.I can only imagine you are young and will hopefully grow up after real life has knocked you around a bit for behaving this way.
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 26 2001 at 1:20 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Your writing indicates you consider clerics as pure casters. If that is the case, shaman are pure casters, too. Shaman have a much lower starting wisdom than the druidic races. Since you can't seem to grasp this, it means it is much more difficult for a shaman to max wisdom than druids. Did you overlook shaman because it discredits your entire complaint?
#Anonymous, Posted: Mar 25 2001 at 5:44 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok I'm gunna make this as easy as possible I have a 37 Druid and I capped my Wis out at level 30, It was quite easy at that, there are plenty of items for a druid to up wisdom, for instance look at Coldain Stained Boots, very very nice, hard to attain but if you are like me and have a few K to spend then you dont have to worry about anything, SO Stop complaining cuz Im not I already am capped out!
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 06 2001 at 6:28 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It's not just about having the wisdom maxed out, once you start to NOT solo, but group in some of the harder dungeons AC is your life or death. And if its not AC then its resists. If you have 195 wisdom or 200 doesnt really matter much.
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 11 2001 at 10:26 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) FOR GOD SAKES druids quit your whining.. you all sound like a bunch of children. IN order to max out your wis and get good resists you have to EARN that by becoming a higher level and recieving a good rep. I have a necromancer that ahs his int maxed.. big deal. Druids can max their int at higher lvls just like every other class... and btw my necromancer is on RZ not some ***** blue server. SO i have learned that you cannot beg items on RZ like you can on Pansy servers. So wuit whining ans PLAY and get to a higher lvl and get in raids etc etc. SOME items are meant NOT to be certain classes. Druids just DO NOT get this item so quit whining.
Ranger Item
# Jan 08 2001 at 4:17 PM Rating: Decent
This is a great Ranger Item, in fact, I venture to say it had us in mind!
+wis = more casts = weaker mob = shorter fight
= I can solo =)
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 26 2001 at 9:40 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Yeah and what kind of retarded ranger would use something with this low ac? The rangers that on RN have seen this thing go down all wear Tolans BPs... they didn't seem very interested. Its nice enough for a MR set though.
Quest
# Jan 03 2001 at 12:09 PM Rating: Decent
Where do I get the other components? Wuoshi drops the scale, but where do I get the unstained steel bp, and ulthork (sp?) tusks? Or is the scale all I need? thanks
RE: Quest
# Feb 01 2001 at 1:57 PM Rating: Default
Unstained Steel BP is a player crafted Fine Steel BP... without any dyes.

Ulthork Tusk drops from Ulthorks in Eastern Wastes, both the normal variety often found on the northern shore and the man o wars in the South West Corner.

We've got I believe 20 of these in our guild now heh.

RE: druids screwed
# Jan 08 2001 at 12:48 AM Rating: Default
Hey, look again... Scale = Metal = No Druids.

Where are all the Enchanters complaining they can't wear this nice +10 CHA item?

They're wearing their frigging robes like they should!
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 01 2001 at 3:15 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Druids already get to much damn items. so shut up
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 11 2001 at 5:50 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Vermiculated is about the only Druid only stuff out there. And btw the spiritist snare/drones combo DOES have horrendous casting time. And it only begins to work at 45th level. So yeah if we have 2 miles of kiting room. we can run about a mile ahead and click on that 34th level dot that would take roughly 8 to 10 casts on a dwarf in kaladim or a giant in velious. Kite for 15 minutes each one. OR i could hit them with the 44th level of the same spell with less casting time and twice the damage. follow up with a couple of blasts of calefaction and down goes the critter. total time 3 minutes. down time for 1 kill using immolate/calefaction/creeping death/snare combo 5 minutes. So If i use those neato built in spells i can kite at half my normal speed. And while we are on that subject. let me just remind you whining anti-druid kiting isn't fair class envy trolls one thing. Kiting is the way we solo. Magi have pets, necro's have pets and can reverse kite, warriors have the ac/hp's/massive melee damage to solo, etc etc. it's just ways to an end. who cares if do mine without taking massive damage? If it bugs you so much play a druid and try to solo any way other than kiting. I'll just sit over here by the guard shack while delin tears a few new orifices for you. =)
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 09 2001 at 12:49 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) how bout a 13/23 sccimitar that adds str wis and mana (skyfury or something like that)
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 07 2001 at 8:24 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Just what do Druids get? No good armor unless you go to planes. Everyone else has armor quests but notta for Druids. No weapons to speak of. What have you seen that we dont know about? Please I been waiting since day one to get good Druid Items, give me a list of what I dont know is out there. Please ! Friggen Jerk.
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 28 2001 at 6:09 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Thank you! Yesh! All I can say to verent is INCLUE us in the mix once in awhile!
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 06 2001 at 8:34 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) mr. anonymous -
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 12 2001 at 2:27 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Who really cares?
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 13 2001 at 5:20 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) OK, Anonymous we "Slack-Jawed Lamers" (nice one) HAVE to kill brownies to get teh Corrupted brownie to spawn which is a druid for our 1 epic quest. Who cares if the goddamn dragon is a druid. You tell us we suck then you say "Hey can I have a SoW dr00d me and the KeWl d00dz have to go say you suck and tell you we hate how you get TPHey can I get a TP to WC?"
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 13 2001 at 12:30 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You sir are a mouth breathing idiot. Druids get no armor that even comes close to stuff of this calliber. The best +wis item Druids get is +13 (vermic bp) then the golden efrit. bp at +8. Thats it..... Nearly HALF the wisdom of the high end CLR & SHM items. You don't play a druid, if you did, you know that from about 25-50th levs, all druids wear pretty much the same lame *** gear. We look like newbies when we are over 40th level and and get squat in the way of decent class specific items. By the time we can get our planes armor, we still cant get sebilis, and by the time we can get seb. armor, we STILL cant do our quest armor because VI made it so f#$%'n hard that the quests arent worht the reward! So yes, we can kite, we can GG, and we have hybrid spells. We SUCK at melee and don't have the fire power of any full caster. It's about ballance. we get screwed here, but rock there. Just like every other class. But people are lazy, the want SoW and GGs, so they play a druid... lots and lots of druids.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 31 2001 at 11:22 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If druids are so much ignored by Verant, why are so many ppl playing them?
RE: You sir, are a moron.
# Feb 12 2001 at 2:43 AM Rating: Default
FYI druids, we do get a nice amount of armor.

Leather
Ulthork
Kael quest armor
Thurgadin quest armor
Golden Efreety Armor
Elder Spiritis Armor
Vermiculated Armor
PoG quest armor
Probably some PoM armor

Thing is, most our good armor is only aquirable at high lvls.

#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 02 2001 at 6:23 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Name a few druid only items please
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 29 2000 at 4:54 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Bah no druids thats sooo lame
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 02 2001 at 1:57 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) ...so to you rape is being exluded from one item that you dont really need. Just because a class is wis or whatever based doesnt mean it should be able to use any wis+ or whatever+ item...that would be really really dull.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 07 2001 at 8:27 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) So every class has something, Armor, Weapons , whatever that enhances thier stats except for Druids and its kewl with you? Too many jerks on this msg site. Go beg a Druid for TP ya moran.

Drop
# Dec 22 2000 at 3:28 PM Rating: Default
This is the result of a quest for an emarald dragon scale. Hand in the scale, and this is given to you. BTW, why can't druids wear this? Aren't they WIS based?
RE: Drop
# Jan 08 2001 at 12:47 AM Rating: Decent
Note that Warriors, ShadowKnights, Rogues and Bards are not Wisdom based, yet they can wear this...

The only one of those classes that gets something besides the AC benefit from this is the Bard for the Charisma bonus.

Druids do not wear Chain/Scale armour. Heck, it only weighs in at 2.5 stone... why can't Monks wear it? Because it would be stupid!
RE: Drop
# Jan 11 2001 at 3:34 PM Rating: Decent
Umm, clerics, rangers and shaman are wis casters also. Notice they can use it. So bards aren't the only ones who would love to get their hands on this one. And I wouldn't have to sacrifice ac to finally get a good wis item.
RE: Drop
# Dec 23 2000 at 8:43 PM Rating: Default
this is chain, druids can only wear leather. (all classes got one step up with plane/kunark armor - so vermi and es looks like chain)

bippity - 52 druidess
quellious
RE: Drop
# Mar 22 2001 at 8:42 PM Rating: Default
This isnt chain, its plate, if you notice you need a fine plate bp to make it. it looks like a singing steel bp pretty much, bards use it while they wait forever on their SS bp

Im still stunned, On Rathe a great friend of mine Daneric finished this quest yesterday and gave me the tunic out of pure genoricity. Its a bright green tunic with the SoV chain graphic. I actually banked my EM BP to wear this piece, as i was able to adjust items with the 5 more wisdom i got to make up for the ac difference i the 2 pieces.

Dekkeon of Rathe
