Ruins of Kunark
I spent hours foraging for the mudroot componant in Misty Thicket some weeks ago before giving up and going back on a killing spree! Just yesterday I decieded to try to collect the four items again. Went to ImSwamp first, as I was close, and got the mushroom on the first try! I couldn't believe it, I had never even been to this zone. Just poped, foraged and boom. Then I went to Misty Thicket for the mudroot. Poped in from POK and started to forage as I practeced some spells. Third tries a charm! About 6 minutes later and I am headed to EF for the Chilled Tundra Root. Found dozens of these as a newby in this zone so it should be a piece of cake....famous last words. Dowh! Couple hours of buffing newbies and no Chilled Tundra Root! Its time for bed! Sniffel...sniffle...... Damn these random counters!

Update:
Started at it agian this morning and within about 10 minutes got the Chilled Tundra Root and headed for G. Gaydark. Popped in at the POK book close to the L. Faydark zone and started to forage. Luck was with me again this morning as I got the Ripened Heart Fruit on the 3rd forage! The only thing that all four foraging runs had in common was that I started at about 6:30 AM Centeral Time and I always stayed right around the POK book or at the enterance of the zone, I never roamed around. Maybe that had something to do with it!? Otherwise I feel very luck to get all the items that quick when I was actually looking from them! P.S. This was with a forage skill of 178-180, got the two points durring the 3 hour process!

Recreated a wood elf druid that I used to have a few years ago and managed to forage a Ripened Heartfruit in the newbie area of Kelethin at level one.

I've been through GFay multiple times and had never seen this item, then just after I zone in to track down Faelin Bloodbriar for my epic, BAM!, there it is. Karana smiled on me in that moment (and then made me wait an hour for Faelin and then another two and a half for Giz in Kith :P). If you've not started your epic yet and don't have one, I wouldn't worry. Unless you're very lucky on Faelin spawning you'll have plenty of time to forage during your merry little orc slaughter to get her to pop.

I just made my Ranger yesterday and at lvl 1 i foraged 2 in like 3 mins!!! and my skill was like 2!!!!

I just got one as I was leaving GF to zone into BB...skill level of my Faroge was 11...as a Ranger, I get Forage at 3rd...

I hate to say this, but my roomate is only level 12 and she forged it in gfay..and she didn't have but MAYBE a 52 skill

What does your forage skill need to be at to forage this? Mine is at 149 right now, and I haven't gotten squat:/. Please tell me you don't have to be at 200 for this.......

There is no specific skill level that you must be at to obtain this item. Sometimes it's just luck of the draw, my friend. Case in point: my girlfriend just recently started a wood elf druid and at level 6, she has picked up a few of them; then yourself at level 42 hasn't gotten a one. All I can say is that persistance will persevere.

Man, why do you complain that this quest is only for foragers!?! THIS ITEM IS PART OF THE DRUID AND RANGER EPIC! Why do you want to do the quest anyway if you don't fit those classes? Geez!

I foraged a ripened heartfruit in OOT. I thought it was unusual since I heard they were supposed to be foraged out in Greater Faydark.
