The Ground Spawn in Lesser Fayder is there, I got Taste pf Enticement not the Ripened Heartfruit. It may spawn.

Can anyone conform the rarity of this item? It says it's a common drop here, and there are people who seem to have an easy time finding it (or just really good luck) and yet I've been sitting here in GFay for 8+ hours getting nothing but water pods and the occasional cinnamon stick.

Foraging is up at like 105-110

do yourself a major favor and go to LESSER Fay-- not greater -- to the ranger outpost at -299.55, 1270.08, -0.25 and look in the cart there-- you will find a ground spawn of the ripened heartfruit -- can't believe no one but me ever found it.

Seasonal forage rates?

Well, here's a theory - A friend of mine has been trying to scrounge one of these up for a couple weeks, so I've been letting him know whenever I (the more practiced forager) found one. Well, today all of a sudden, I've been digging them up /mad/ - 3 in a row, almost a dozen found so far in just a couple hours, it's crazy!

I checked the /time, and it's September 17, 3176 on Norrath.

So, theory is, Heartfruit ripen in the autumn? Thus, it's a heck of a lot easier to find them then than it is during other seasons?

Just a thought. I'll try to remember to keep an eye on that and update here at some point in the future (likely when I start my own quest).

Good hunting to you all!

I'm new to the game so bear with me. I made a wood elf rogue and so I started with 50 forage. within the first 4 hours of playing I foraged up one of these dang rippened heartfruit. I tried eating it, but when I couldn't I just put it in my bank. Today I was told I couldn't forage another because I already had one, so I came here. Why Can a rogue who can't do anything with the fruit forage it?

Because of the combine involved, rather than a turn-in, this is useless. You can't MQ it for a ranger or druid.

Just because an item is useless to you doesn't mean you won't stumble upon it. Hang on to it, because a desperate druid or rogue would probably pay very well for that thing.

Lucky or what!?
# Jul 09 2003 at 12:09 AM Rating: Excellent
I spent hours foraging for the mudroot componant in Misty Thicket some weeks ago before giving up and going back on a killing spree! Just yesterday I decieded to try to collect the four items again. Went to ImSwamp first, as I was close, and got the mushroom on the first try! I couldn't believe it, I had never even been to this zone. Just poped, foraged and boom. Then I went to Misty Thicket for the mudroot. Poped in from POK and started to forage as I practeced some spells. Third tries a charm! About 6 minutes later and I am headed to EF for the Chilled Tundra Root. Found dozens of these as a newby in this zone so it should be a piece of cake....famous last words. Dowh! Couple hours of buffing newbies and no Chilled Tundra Root! Its time for bed! Sniffel...sniffle...... Damn these random counters!

Happy hunting!
Tad

Update:

Started at it agian this morning and within about 10 minutes got the Chilled Tundra Root and headed for G. Gaydark. Popped in at the POK book close to the L. Faydark zone and started to forage. Luck was with me again this morning as I got the Ripened Heart Fruit on the 3rd forage! The only thing that all four foraging runs had in common was that I started at about 6:30 AM Centeral Time and I always stayed right around the POK book or at the enterance of the zone, I never roamed around. Maybe that had something to do with it!? Otherwise I feel very luck to get all the items that quick when I was actually looking from them! P.S. This was with a forage skill of 178-180, got the two points durring the 3 hour process!
