For a Rogue, this belt is up there. STR and DEX are a Rogue's bread and butter, and 10 of each rocks. AC isn't as important to me, caues I evade a lot. And how can you beat ATK Bonuses and Regens? I'll pay the cash.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 30 2002 at 3:06 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) For Higher levs with Max str 255 your atk stops goin up this Boost my rogs attack from 1325 1350 HUGE jump considering how much str ut takes to raise it this belt is awsome not to mention a WORN regen hell regardless of how small it ADDS withh AA point regen All the more people should want it. Yours truly

#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 29 2002 at 10:22 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This belt sucks horribly. Buy yourself a Shrunken Goblin Skull Earring (4k) and put 2 aa points into Innate Regeneration and you have Aura of Battle effect. Do not waste 30k on this junk ever, I went out and camped Axgoreth's Belt of Defense (20ac 15str 15wis). Drops off the Xin Thall Centiens about 1 in 20 and they are easy kill in Maiden's Eye.
RE: sucks
# May 29 2003 at 3:52 PM Rating: Default
Unfortunately, the Grim Aura effect from the Shrunken Goblin Earring has stacking issues with alot of other attack buffs while the belts Aura of Battle worn effect has no stacking issues that I know of.

Like other people have mentioned, after you have capped your str/dex/etc buffs to the max, the only other way to raise your attack rating is to either use attack buffs or effects off of items such as this one.

I for one, don't think this belt 'suck's horribly' and plan on getting one in the near future.

Yes, 6ac might be a little weak but when coupled with the awesome permanent effect, it really doesn't matter.

Keep in mind that permanent effects like these stack with EVERYTHING, even the castable form of the spell. Take the fungal tunic for example, permanent regen and you can also have the spell form cast on you for double the effect.

Items like this are rare and very very useful, 2pt extra regen and ATK as well as the stats make this item extremely industrious. Anyone who claims this item as being "junk" is undoubtedly ignorant.
Do you have to equip this to use?
# Apr 08 2002 at 4:34 PM Rating: Default
Can you just click it from inventory, or can you just equip it click on the spell and remove it?

I have a Paladin on Rallos Zek, and I probably wouldnt want to wear this, as it doesnt have too much AC and its not no drop, however if I could just buff with it and put it away then it would be great.

# May 24 2002 at 12:04 PM Rating: Default
Its always on, not clicked. When looking at the stats it says (worn).
Stacks?

Anyone have first hand knowledge of wether this stacks with Grim Aura, Divine Purpose, or Frostreavers Blessing?

40k for sale /boggle
# Mar 06 2002 at 7:49 PM Rating: Default
saw someone wanting to buy one of these for 40k, I can't see how anyone would pay this money for one, at lvl 51 as my shaman I put 3 points in aa regen, that is > belt of great turtle. On the other hand some people say this has haste element to it. <shrug> I would prefer ac to this item, 15 ac belt vs 6 ac belt + 2hp regen? However it is a nice item, I am not saying it is bad, just overpriced kinda.
RE: 40k for sale /boggle
# Apr 09 2002 at 4:06 AM Rating: Default
It isn't just the regen(which as far as i know stacks with every other regen) it's also the + to attack, which is really important to the tanks on those luclin mobs with the 5000AC...don't think this paticular item is worth 40k, myself, but i don't need any of the stuff on it...
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 04 2002 at 12:46 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i see em go fer 15-20k on seventh hammer
RE: 40k for sale /boggle
# Sep 23 2002 at 1:08 AM Rating: Default
I had one (bought for 30k) and sold it when I was 59. I regret it entirely and am still seeking one again. The price when I do see one is generally in the 35-40k range and I feel it is worth every cp of that.

AoB is one of the very few effects that actually does something for a damage dealer and any source is a good source, regardless of rather weak stats in other areas.

# Feb 07 2002 at 5:44 PM Rating: Default
I got this on my level 9 rogue (borrowin it from my main) but this is a nice belt when you already are using a CoF for haste which I am. I have found this 2 hp regen comes in handy many times in fights whether you think it does or doesnt it helps keep you alive a lil longer than you normally would, specially while buffed with Chloro+Fungi thats a 29 hp regen standing on a halfling which I quite like =).

Ive done enough ranting and got a lil off subject excuse me but I dont like people talkin bad about awsome items

ideal for rangers
# Oct 01 2001 at 3:33 PM Rating: Decent
I fully agree with the person who said Rangers with their epics in particular should kill for this item. Any form of regen is only a good thing and the increased attack is always welcome. my only (small) gripe is that it has a low ac. I'm moving this to one of my top 3 items to aquire someday.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 13 2001 at 6:30 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) IT'S NOT MONK USABLE!!

Forgot to mention the fact that Rogue Epic does not stack with ANY haste items only spells CoF included
Aura of Battle
# Jun 13 2001 at 2:17 AM Rating: Default
Just to be clear, Aura of Battle is +2regen all the time (standing or sitting) and +21ATK. This is not a trivial change in attack, and the regen is always great to have. More AC on this would be nice, but rangers in particular should kill for this - especially once they have their epics.

Get a clue if you think this is lame, or better yet, just don't roll on it when we both have the chance - I'll take it!
heh
# May 27 2001 at 5:35 PM Rating: Default
The effect is still very useful, as are the stats. If you're a ranger/rogue, or a monk with a CoF, you're already going to reach the haste cap, so an item like an rbb in your belt slot is a waste.

The stats on this are BETTER than the RBB (if you have a higher haste item), due to the 30 hp. 30 hp > 10 stamina. You may look at it as just 30 hp, but every little bit of HP helps. I *love* this belt, I already have my epics, and ditched my RBB and replaced it with this item; couldn't be happier.

Hehe, that's cause you are not a ranger/rogue/or monk... we all get MUCH lower stamina multipliers.
RE: heh
# Nov 11 2001 at 9:20 PM Rating: Decent
Actually monks/rogues/bards get 4hp/sta at 60.

HPs are still better just because you can only have 255 sta though.

me ran accross this item while searhing for a diffenrt item i saw in game.
not only is its stats great, it fits my name very well ;-)

Im not much for buying such great items me would rather earn myself much more rewarding that way.
need to get a bit more info on this creature and see if me can have my guild help raid it, be the best way for me to obtain.

although if me see someone selling this for a reasonable cheap price me be right on top of it!

#Anonymous, Posted: May 07 2001 at 6:06 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is what you get for a melee class after you grab that cloak of flames or whatever better that's non planar! Look at the dex +10 that's wicked, once you get the new low delay weapons this, the cloak of flames, you'll never stop hitting for +150-200 with da strength bonuses and attack bonuses you'll have by then.

Effect:Triggered ??
# Feb 06 2001 at 1:18 PM Rating: Default
I got that belt recently on a guild raid. Seems to be quite nice but the lacking Haste hurts. Concerning the effect: I dont think its triggered. The attack bonus takes place as soon as equipped and you can click on it all day long and nothing happens...probably a continous effect or Verant needs to make it work properly first.
No idea what the effect does besides attack though. Aura of battle sounds like haste and other nice boni like attack and sta regen ...It isnt a Bard song by chance?
finally verant does something right...
# Jan 03 2001 at 2:36 PM Rating: Default
dont you ppl see? for all us ppl who want this belt, this is the perfect set up. all the uber guilds will wanna make this turtle one of their regular kills for a while, since the other stuff he drops, like the shield thing, is pretty good. when they all start killing him and getting this belt, which they think is a piece of crap, well start to see a lot more of it on the market...and ya never know, maybe it wont go for much since it isnt worth much to them anyway. =)

wow, imo this is an incredible item for any of the classes that can use it. diecent ac, and great strength and dex boosts. not to mention the added hp, and the clickable effect which adds to attack and regen like the other post said, making this a very good item that will cost a pretty penny if you can find someone selling it that is. lodizal drops some other nice items from what iv seen as well so happy hunting )

as far as i can tell aura of battle is a HP/ sta regen with some attack boost... no haste on this belt at all hp per tick went to 6 hp per tick while sitting. great belt as to the person who posted this is a crappy belt well it not be a runed bolster belt or runedbranded girdle but why dont u find me a belt other than those that blows this away idget boy stop yer whining

RE: Aura of Battle?
# Mar 03 2001 at 7:33 AM Rating: Default
The shield is so kickass because it can be worn on the back slot. In that slot the AC is unrivalled by ANYTHING. I tend to agree that this belt is great, specially for rogues (i am one.. im sure its great for others too.. but it just strikes me as a great rogue item.. those with their epics or CoF, at least), but yes, most people prefer the shield by far. Read up on the shields stats before posting that it ISNT better than this... yeesh

I would hardly call this junk. If you are a maxed out 60th whatever, then, yes, this item does not meet your needs. You already have better. Fine. But for those of us dreaming of the gear you probably wear, we would gladly accept this 'junk'. I'm glad to see quality items that aren't necessarily uber-items.
RE: Aura of Battle?
# Dec 22 2000 at 2:46 AM Rating: Default
Yea, I got 255 str with buff, the AC on the belt is crap, blah blah blah.

Jez, be consistance. If someone is so uber, 255 str and stuff, he would also got 1100 AC. How much more AC you want when you are at AC cap? Using Cof. And what kinda belt you wanna use? Name some belt that is so uber that will make this belt look like junk to support your comment will ye? This belt is a great item, its no where in "junk standard".

# Jan 13 2001 at 12:25 AM Rating: Default
I was just awarded this item from my guild.
I think I'm going to be giving it back, hopefully to a rogue who can use it better than I.

In order to use this item I need to give up my FBSS, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me because the Aura of Battle is not a Haste buff =(. Maybe someday I'll have an eyepatch or a CoF, but until then I still need to use my FBSS.

Besides, I really don't need +10 dex, and 30hps is nothing when fighting dragons and gods that hit for over 300+.

I think Verant should have made this a monk item. I'm sure they would have loved to be able to use this.
