These leggings look incredably hot on the female toons (post-Luclin graphics). Do not discard these leggings so easily! There are robes now that are split wide open at the front, showing the graphics of the leggings-item just fine. Try wearing these leggings with a Robe of Misery for instance: quit nice!!

Resists?

You want resists because of raids..
AoE effects arent absorbed into pets

....why isnt there a /smack emote
Resists?

#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 01 2001 at 10:14 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I dont see why everyone wants resists for casters. If ure a mage or necro ure pet takes hits and if ure a wiz or enc you always have o group never take hits. therefore there is no point for resists. Look for mana items instead.

You keep thinkin' that, buddy... When you complain about dying at a raid cause you didn't get resists, I'll just laugh.

You don't even need to fight any uber mobs to see the value of resists, just fight the wurms that drop this. a couple of their aoe effects were enough for me to cast a round of resist magic on my group.

Even better, get in a naggy group, and try to get into melee rangew to cast (spells are resisted 100% otherwise) and see how you like the 300+ pt AOE dd, or AOE fear spells.

Obviously he/she hasn't played a Necromancer either. I send my pet in against Treants for instance, and they start casting on me almost immediately. Without some decent resist gear, I would be hurting pretty badly with Swarm, lightning and fire, not to mention that AOE ice thing they do for 60-odd points. If I have good resists, I can make the critter try to focus their casting on me instead of the pet, letting the pet hit better and take less damage. Meanwhile I am resisting and making the MoB waste it's mana and attack potential on me, where it is going to be far less effective.

Try playing a caster sometime, bub, before you make blanket statements like "If ure a mage or necro ure pet takes hits", cause they don't when facing a caster MoB.

As a Wizard that's solo'd through most of my 30's, I think it safe to say you don't play a caster. At all. Even when I'm in a group I can pull agro off a tank with ease when trying and sometimes when not. You will get hit. You will get cast on. You will need more then just Int. Resists might not matter much to me now but they will soon (can we say AoE fear and breath weapons?)
expect these to drop further

Okay we all know that int post 200 is basically worthless. Also with the introduction of more and higher int gear, it is easier and easier to get to 200+ int. Honestly I could not see paying more then 500pp for these, and even then 500 for the looks (and I bet they look great under the robes). I mean seriously I can think of better things to spend my money on, there are more stats then just int.
Nice leggings

These are one of the few int leggings out there, the rest that i have seen either drop in high level areas <like the planes> or are quest only. Hand it to Verant to make them a rare drop

I have a bunch of friends I group with every night. One time we had a guests along to kill shardwurms and this thing dropped.

Idiot cried to have it <Wizzie> so we let him have it rather than me <also a wizzie>. After that he left.

Had I known this thing is pretty rare I would have dueled him for it. Anyways, 5 more kills later, the Shardwurm Eye drops. I guess there is a god out there in Norrath.

Hunting Wurms in GD last nite. We pulled mostly Ancients cause they seem to be the only ones to drop spells. Saw only 2 sets of leggings and no Tunics. Leggings DO look like leather, when I take the Oracle robe off *shrug*.

Step up from mammoth hide and Raw Silk. Problem is, at 193 int, I'll be looking to ditch these soon and get resist gear. (Once I get to 200+ that is.) Thoughts?

# Apr 28 2001 at 11:42 AM Rating: Default
do these look like leather when worn as the white scaled tunic does? that could play a role in the price as well
great
# Mar 25 2001 at 6:57 PM Rating: Default
these are great!! there isnt many items that give int out there at the lvl you can get these.
Joke
# Mar 03 2001 at 6:29 PM Rating: Default
Cmon peeps these are a total joke. 2 int? who cares. even the ac blows. as a int caster reaching 200 int is so easy. why pay 800p when you can get a pair of legs from permafrost for 40p. at least you would have some resists.
if it was 5 int, i would understand. then could swap out a ring or something for resists. but 2 ? sorry but no. lots of nice leggs out there. for half the money. even if they dont have the uber 2 int.

To whoever was saying these leggings suck: they do not. At lvl 54 i am camping wurms for these leggings. INT leggings are actually quite hard to find, and the extra INT that these leggings will give me will allow me to take off other INT gear and get some good resist gear. So, next time, think about people other than yourself that may need any given item. Just because you think it sucks, doesnt mean it does.
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 29 2001 at 3:05 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Rofl, what a f.u.c.k.i.n.g idiot, These legs suck ***. 2 int is squat when u know as well as i do that there are several leggings out there with resists and mana and HP. Just because yer a da.mn ****** and like to camp gay leggings at 54 doesnt mean you need to bother us intelligent people with yer retarded posts.
RE: Joke

It could also mean that it does and yer stupid but alas we will never know.

Real info: these are semi rare drops off of all the shardwurms in GD and are more likely to drop off the elders. They have the graphic of leather pants and are really good for the level of mob the drop off of. Average price on E`ci right now is between 50pp and 100pp.

#Anonymous, Posted: May 27 2001 at 11:38 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hi. I just bought Everquest yesterday and my Iksar necromancer has 100 Int. I would like to know (since it's so easy) how I can get to 200 Int by level 2.
RE: Joke
# Jun 12 2001 at 11:49 AM Rating: Default
...just thought you *might* wanna take into account the level required to kill Shardwurms, and that's just the minimum ;) I'm certain that by that lvl you can have accumulated at least a relatively high int...my mage did, and he *wasn't* twinked =)

notice that the pricing data is screwed... the reason it is so high is that 3 people put down buying it for round 50pp and then one guy put down 5000pp... no wonder its so high!
Give it time.
# Feb 14 2001 at 4:23 PM Rating: Default
Okay lol...these no longer go for 5k which is what is posted at this time. These go for around 1k...i personally got mine for 800. These are nice legs but they are not rare, rare, rare. It still cracks me up how people list items as super rare when the expansion has been out only a short time. Same thing happened with Kunark. Unless your rich and dont care what you pay....wait a while for prices to stabalize. I watched kodiak claws sell for 250pp during the first week of Velious, now i cant give em away. Just my 2cp. :)

new loot tables may affect....
# Dec 13 2000 at 10:06 PM Rating: Decent
The new loot tables may limit the drops off mobs from Anicent Shardwurm and Crystalline shardwurm. just a lil FYI cuz I killed alot of them all and got squat. Before and After the loot table nerf mind you.
