I have a lvl 10 pally that has this. This thing procs like crazy and I only have 89 dex, at least twice for every mob I fight, too bad I'm too low lvl for it to actually take effect. My iksar sk used to have it and he hits for 64's at lvl 22.

ive got this thing on my ranger now hes only 11 but he kicks so much booty with this thing cant wait till im past 20 ohhh yeah (fendish laugh)

My druid ran across one of these while killing Frost Giants for the shawl quests. At first I was going to sell it to a merchant, and then I gave a second look at the stats. It seemed better than the crystallized blade my pally twink had on her (pally is my first melee, so I'm still a bit new to dmg/delay ratios and such). Well at 23, my pally can consistently hit for 40 plus. I can hardly wait to get her to lvl 30 and see this puppy proc. Sells for about 500p in the Bazaar on Innoruuk server, so I'll hang on to this one for a while!

I saw one of these drop ages ago while fighting in a group killing elites in GD. Today I had one drop off a frost giant scout while soloing. Imagine my surprise (and delight)! Also dropped a velium rapier and a head.

everyone keeps asking why this thing procs at lvl 30, the reason for this is that Velious is supposed to be for lvl 30+. assuming you are the right lvl for this place it would proc for you when you get it in the place it drops, Great Divide. just be greatful that it procs at lvl 30 instead of like most the Kunark weapons that proc at lvl 45. oh yeah, this thing weighs more than a VW beattle too

My Icereaver shows a Damage Bonus of 2. It just showed up yesterday 11/21/2001. I had just made lvl 28. Is this correct or is there a bug or something?

With out a doubt this is a nice weapon. My ranger bought one but I wont say how much for I know it was worth more than she payed. Impatience is what drives the market value down to. Any way I noticed that the proc was like casting a spell in that she was delayed in swinging till it was done. When she hits for 52 to 70+ with it and the proc did some where in the mid 30s I got to wondering if it would be better that it didnt proc and she kept swinging.

cant wait for this to proc. got an awesome deal on Bristlebane server for 223p and a cabilis scale mantle. this guy was selling everything really low. i would imagine this weapon to be worth about 500pp easy.

I just picked one of these off a giant, and was wondering what it is worth. I have heard that it is nothing more then merchant fodder. I may still be newer to the game and to better weapons, but IMO 24/40 with a 30dd proc has got to be worth more then what a merchant will give for it. I think any mid lvl ranger that can get his hands on one of these should be happy. With 139str and not even master at 2hs i hit for max of 57pts avg of 30. Add the 30dd icerend and 35dd CoS, you do a great deal of damage. If only i had known that there were other ways to deal damage besides 1hs. So to all you new rangers out there, heck for all characters everywhere i say work on all weapon skills available to you. Someday you may just come across a weapon that is godly compaired to what you are using now and having a skill lvl of 25 in it will not make you happy.

your a 40th warrior and your best crit to date is 167!? WEAK!! Ive had multiple crits unbuffed since 30 in 250 range. I do regular hits for 100's. All Im using is a mithril staff. Yes this bad boy would compare but I think I prefer mithril staff over this. Makes me unique to be a warrior hitting that hard with a blunter.

I started with a GZ at lvl 14...then went to a BOX at lvl 25...played with that for a few lvl's and enjoyed it...Then got a deal on a Argent Defender and it ROCKS!!..At lvl 40, my warrior Max normal hits at 135...crits as high as 199 and crips all the way up to 287
All that with NO buffs...the only thing thats bad about the Argent is the 49 dly..but the 33dmg is rather nice. And I only paid 1K and my old BOX for it which was givin to me free by an Uber Shamie. SO whoever priced a Argent at 5K is NUTZZ..So until Wurms can be duel wielded..guess I'll stay with my Argent..The Giant Killer

I saw some level 4 with this thing and thought wow tht wep would be perfict for my level 20 Sk so i went and got one of these thing and gave it to my sk and he is loving it!!!!!

40th Warrior here...I got one of these last week, and it is pretty sweet. About the only weapon I've ever looted and started using (usually have to buy something this nice). With a nice shammy str buff to 147, I scored a crit of 167 tonight-my best ever! And I'm a half-elf! I can only imagine what it could do in the hands of a troll or barb or someone with strength (unlike me...lol). Of course giants and wurms always resist the proc (30dd, btw). Should make for good hunting on the mainland, tho.

I just got one of these from my guild (couple of our folks picked up two of them in one night!) and started using it. I love this thing! I had been using a Blade of Xalgoz (I do like the added str of the BoX) but I put that aside to use this one for a while to give it a test drive. With the BoX I never hit over 54pts but with this I was regularly hitting for 60 and the proc was zinging off like crazy. I'm a 30 paladin and went to CC with a druid and it rocked there. The miners and watchmen were just going down fast. And as for the weight, well those of us that get Invigor won't have to worry about the stamina issue. I find that at this level I use so little mana in a fight that I can easily spare some for that spell.

I got one of these given to me for tanking Sg's in SR so that the AC could spawn for a 39 mage freind of mine, he looted it off of a scout said he let one rot because of the lore though he did shout out a location on it.

Before I got this weapon I was useing a Darkreaver, the same night I got this I had just bought a Nathasars Greatsword for 250pp from a desperate to sell rogue , I tanked all night with this and was very impressed by the damage output, I have low str compared to other DE Sk's because I stupidly put most of my points into intel, But I was hitting for 90 -95 unbuffed with this baby at 119 str , Yoday I pulled out the Olde Dark Reaver and let it proc while soloing , I quickly switched to the Icereaver and was Destroying mobs very fast, hitting for 110 - 120 on occasion and procing like mad.I once hit a sarnak knight 4 times for 92 in a row with a proc everytime, My lowest hit was a 35 ( one time out of 20 fear kites)To say the least I was very impressed. I then switched to the Nathy and tryed the same thing Nathy was fast but I often hit for 25 and with no proc on this I knew the Icereaver was the waepon for me. Only complaint about the icereaver is that it suks up stamina at 15 wieght. But thats why Casters get invigor.

PS I found that this proc is 30 pts dd and is resisted about 1 out of ten times, Giants in general resist it more about 1 out of 5 times

in response to my earlier post,yes elite's do drop um,looted one today.

this weapon while nice i fond when fighting higher level mobs who have alot of hp really drains your stamina so you might wanna consider that before buying one

So this sword just drops of any giants in great divide or what? anyone who looted one from a corpse could you please specify what mob it came off please? thanks

OK, I'm level 29 now and the weapon still doesn't proc. I know that it does proc at level 35 though. Also, it does proc in the old world. I had someone try it out against beetles in NK.

I just picked one of these up and didn't bother to use it cause I have a hard time parting with my Worn Crescent Axe. Does the Proc work on the ice critters in Veilous or is it only good for other beasts?
