Me (57SK) a 54 cleric buddy who was windowing his 54 druid were gonna go to the 7th floor to see what damage we could do. Well, we were about to go when a 47 cleric shows up who is new to the zone, so we decide to just go up floor by floor instead. Anyway we make it to 5 about an hour before a patch and take out the party in a few minutes. We decided to try it again just once more and bam, Nosja the kind groom he is, drops the ring. To make a long story short I tell the 47 cleric to go loot. I guess im tooting my own horn but the guy was so stoked he couldn't believe it, I think we made an EQ friend for life P.S. My buddy was a bit peeved.
That server has the strangest economy I have ever seen. You might see one of these rings about once a week in the bazaar, maybe, and they sell for about 1200p to 2000p. Easier to go get one yourself. 8)
On Vazaelle, a velium rose Ring (+5INT) sells for almost 400plat so I'd say aye, you got a great deal. under 800 plat for a 5int ring with other stats is a great deal, imo.
Ok i camped this room for bout 10 hours last night hoping to get this ring for my bride to be and no ring...can someone please tell me if it still dropps, gettin kinda fustrated here.
This ring does still drop, got one last nite off of Nosja i believe. Also had two rune etched, couple swords, few laced veils, and sorcerer's bowl drop. Not bad for a nite's work.
Have been camping for the wedding band for 2 days now, about 3 hours sessions at a time. I log in, get to 5th floor, kill nosja and wham there it is the ring. I loot ring and get jumped by an undead dancer. I was low on mana/health at the time so i had to ; root , camp to clear aggro an return. Come back , hit inventory to gawk at my new ring, and...doh its not in my inventory. Inven was completely full. Realized the ring must have been dropped while i was frantically trying to root the mob off me. As the title states . im soo stoopid ..doh. Whelp back to camping.....

The other ring is "The eternal flame of love, knowing"
So, put them together to get... "The eternal flame of love, knowing no time, no end, I vow to hold true." Although, actually, you could loop the 2 messages and it would still make sense, even more since they talk about the "eternal flame" and "no end".
I was so lucky as to have someone give this to me in a drive by trade when i was a lvl 10 cleric sitting in the tunnel. After 21 more lvls of asking people what it's worth and where it drops....my friends and i have been camping TOFS and low and behold---i see it in the items search...
I have been told that it sells for more than 1k but less than 2k....so hmmm....All i can say is that i can't wait till we can camp lvl 5 with ease...my friend-lvl 37 ench wants one also. Last night we tried lvl 4 and realized that as a lvl 41 war a 37 ench and me a 31 cler.....it just isn't happening any time soon. LOL
But it's a great item...and i can't wait till i can earn one this time...even though i was very greatful for the gift. =)
You may be confusing this with the other ring that drops in ToFS. I have killed the wedding party too many times to count, and only got this ring once, while getting the Rune Etched ring about a dozen times. In my XP this sells for way more than 1k on TZ. I got more Stoic Axes out of the tower than this patricular item, even though the spawn rate is 20 min on Nosja...go figure.

The best class would be anyone who can cast, wis or int caster, since it has both 5wis, and 5int, along with the 15 mana... I have one on my druid, as well as my mage. They both love it....
or cleric, shadowknight, paladin, wizzard, enchanter, necro, ranger... good for them to. Don't bitch about what class it's best for... it has int and wis and would be excellent for any caster class, the weight even makes it desireably for monks (even though there is much better for them). It's just friggen good, for lot's of classes.

Went up there the other night with a nice group, out of the first 3 times we killed old Nosja he dropped the ring twice :) Later on he dropped it again so 3 out of 5 of us got a ring. Have been there before however and not gotten anything like many others so like I said it was a very lucky night.
It took a bunch of us since we were unfamiliar with the tower, and we had about two groups at any given time of around level 40 hunting to get up there.. once we did, I think we camped the spot for a total of about 20 hours on and off.. a few of the melee rings dropped, and none of these babies :(
I camped out on that floor out of despair and went to sleep.. when I woke up (figuratively speaking) I thought I'd have another go at them solo.. bam, kill the guy, get the ring, run my ASS off from the enraged relative that popped right after and bingo :)
I get married in just over a fortnight!

The 1st time I came to the 5th floor I was in a semi uber group and we had no probs clearing room. As soon as we killed Nosja he dropped ring and I won the roll out of 6 peeps. 3 spawns later we killed Daman for the 3rd time and she dropped diamond ring! it mighta been vice versa with the mobs and what ring they dropped. Anyways I had to leave after a few more kills but I came back about a month later with my guild and camped the room. We killed the entire room 20+ times over and the only hing that dropped was gnome skin tunic(2x), leggings(4x), laced veil(2x) and no rings! The enraged relative spawned three times, once he spawned back to back and everyone in group had one bub of hp or less and 10 to no mana by the time we finished them. He dropped Velium Spiked Helm twice, the key all 3 times, and Beer Stained Coldain Tunic once. We did get a embalmers skinning knife on the 4th floor on the way up and I won that for my rogue ) Well good luck with the camp, the rings are extremely rare/or random!
I won mine last night, and let me tell you, it's a nice ring. It is rare though, we were in the 5th floor for at least 6-7 hours. The ring only dropped once. We all got a ceremonial sword though :P Gained about 2.5 blue bubb of exp in there as well. at lvl 40 its not such bad exp .
We were at the ToFS last night and made our way to the 5th floor once again to try for the nice drops there. First time we kill Nosja, he drops the ring and I get lucky and get it. We kill him about 7 or 8 more times and he drops it again. My friend got it the second time around. If it's that rare of a drop, we must have really been lucky. I'm just glad I was able to win me one of the rings. Going on my cleric twink in place of her Plat Jasper Ring, less wisdom, but AC and more stats wins out in the end. Good luck all on getting one for yourself, it's definitely worth the time to get.
I went on a raid with my guild, my first time ever being in the tower, and we killed nosja, he popped again and ksilled him once more...... we must have gotten extremely lucky b/c he had the ring, somehow i ended up winning the roll for it by 1.
yeah it is pretty easy to kill these guys solo if your high enough. Kill the golems in the hallway.
Then pull the priest, (to get rid of the healer) and nosja and then daman (she harmtouches).
After that you can clear up all the guests whom are really easy. And move up into the wedding and kill as soon as they pop.
It is a nice camping spot pity the rings are lore.
You have to watch out for the enraged relative. That guy is a realy pain. Spectre backstabs for 192 and slices for 110 around there. Not an easy kill, gives exp to me at lvl 51.
When me and my 2 friends were there we managed to get 4 rings, (2 rune etched and 2 diamondne ones) and we had like 10 enraged relative spawns. Once we had 2 come right after the other.
Ok, so ya want this ring, and dont want to pay oodles of plat for it, right? ok then..
Go to the tower. Kill lots of dogs and skeles on first till ya get the key. second floor, blah blah. You know. Bring a group. Get the keys. Not that difficult. Now.. To do it SOLO.
If you're a pally like me, its really simple. Buy a few Cloudy Potions (1 charge invisibility) Get your keys ready, and wait for when the tower is completly empty.
ITU and make your way to the portal to the third floor. Go up, and deftly avoid (heh, i know you can do it) the armored shadows (or be a wuss and just use a potion) Then, if your average sense of direction is good enough, run your pallybut through the fourth floor, and go past the golems on fifth. Badaboom, you're there.
Stay in that small place after the golems, before the big circle room, and you'll be fine. As for pulling Nosja/Daman, i recommend Dispell. the priest uses bravery, and they each have their own buffs.
Now, Daman will heal Nosja and vice versa, so pull them so that they are *barely* out of sight of each other. That way, he doesnt get healed, and you have a better time. Contrary to popular belief, the priest does NOT heal either of them.
Oh yeah, they're easily soloable and breakable if you pull them right starting at around 40. Warriors would have a bit of a time on this, but for a healing hybrid, there shouldnt be much of a problem.

Hehe, ok, maybe he did camp something for 50 hours, seems so unlikly lets not go there. And AC in S.Ro is really no big deal if you know what your doing. Me and 2 friends (all around lvl 35) camped him for 1 hour and got him. All you do is go to 3 corners of the desert section and kill all the mobs you see expept for the camps (aka Dervs) and soon SG's will start to spawn, just keep killing them and the AC has a chance to pop in place of an SG, thats all you gota do, ohh, and he pops in the N.E corner usually, so good luck :)

I must admit, I must be very lucky, for my party of 4, each got one in a period of under 4 hours. This is not very difficult once you get to the room. In some ways I would say getting there is more difficult due to the trapdoors on level 4, but even that's not too difficult to deal with. So I guess it depends on how lucky you are and that seems to be the case with many camps. It's a great ring and if you want one, go give it a try, if you aren't lucky, you can always buy one later.
well looks like verant is chopping chanters hard to obtain skills of jewlery making and marketing, profitts, i just started a chanter and spent like 1800 pp just to get jewlery skill to 180, spent lots of cash to get there, was hoping to make some of that back in future. Mabey the new jewlery stuff velious type, will have the stats they deserve, Im all for the chanters and all jewerly crafters in norrath, Bonzz out here
I don't remember how much I spent but I know it was less then 2k and I got up to 191. The chanter is only level 12 so I didn't go any further. Int was at 200 I think.
Yes, the rings have been rare for a while now. Still isn't too bad.. clear the place 8 times or so with a spawn rate of approx 20 minutes and you'll pick up an average of 2.
One quirk.. I'm pretty darn sure they changed the spawn rate. When I first found the tower, I was one of the first people there on my server. I explored the tower liberally and had a lot of fun, and in so doing I killed these guys a few times. Every single time I did, they had a ring. And I did it about 5 times. Being lore, I could only loot once and let them fade away.
Now though, when I went back to get another ring for myself.. it took 7 kills of Nosja to get a ring. As for the names, the last poster got me wondering and I quickly realized that it's very likely (would love for Verant to confirm this or not just for curiosity's sake) Jason and Mande. Aww. :)

This ring supposedly drops from Nosja, the "groom" of the wedding on floor 5 of the Tower of Frozen Shadow. His bride, Daman, drops a melee version called the Rune Etched Wedding Band, AC 2, STR 3, STA 4, AGI 6, sv poison and disease 8. We killed Daman 6 times and got 4 Rune Etched Bands. We killed Nosja 6 times and got no Diamond Wedding Bands.

Posted:Dec 08 2000 at 4:27 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You are correct, Nosja drops this ring. I have one and its quite nice. Although the wisdom is +5, not +3
Now that's a nice ring! What in good lord drops it? Rarity: Common!!! (drools all over new velious map) From what I've seen of the new velious stuff, they're really pumping out nice items. I guess it's to get all those wary adventurers ready to take on the dangers of the new dragon fortress/town/instant-death-area and new planes. Why oh why are followers of Solusek Ro KOS everywhere in the Plane of Growth? (groan) And I was just getting ready to hold a picnic in that forest wonderland when I got high enough in level. Man, a plane of lazy bliss is what looks like to me. But knowing me, I'd be like... "Hey, that Tree-dude looks all chipper and happy...something it has must be making it content....I wonder what loot he drops...<KA-BOOM>"
