This dropped off an Ulthork Hunter for me. Been getting Velium weaps from the Ulthorks.
do the frost giants drop these kinds of velium weapons?i noticed that they drop some of the other velium ones, but i don't recall seeing one of these as loot.thanks in advance )

I procured one of these beautiful things, and sold it for a good and valid 70pp. The guy who I sold it to later told me it Proc'd for him and he was lvl 30.

all velium weapons proc at lvl 30 for 12 pts of damage. all of the other velium weapons....there
is a name before them,I am sorry I do not recall it, but these velium weapons proc at level 1 for
24 pionts of damage. I hope this bit helps.

but I am rebelius at heart and would like to see
some justice .......note I am not trying to run any rogue commrads off. But I got ripped off and
would like this crap to get straitened out before

Ok to clear up some miss information from my learned friend here. First velium shards is a cold based spell that does 12 dmg, when it procs. Second the lvl to proc is 25, and that is for all velium weapons. And I mean every one. And third, the going rate on Drinal server is 10pp, you can some times get 20pp in Halos, from the rich mammoth killing barbarians. I hope this clears up any confusion, and helps every one out.
FYI Fact. Ive had a velium long sword since about 22. I have pulled it out every level just to see when it proc'd... It was 27 for my wood elf ranger.. ) I believe the diff classes at least make the diff. I think the sword will proc at 25 for a war. just a guess. Abaove info was tediously checked after each level though, just to try and help us all get it straight. Safe hunting yall.. Last note, Info on the Coldain velium weapons and where to get would be cool to find out also. This proc at early lvls like in teens would be valuable.

To clear up a little confusion:
YES, there is a velium weapon series that procs before level 25(the level at which velium weapons proc). These are COLDAIN Velium weapons and are bought off merchants in Thurgadin. They proc at level ONE regardless of race or stats. I have had both types of velium weapons and other than price, after level 25 there is NO difference. Hope this helps.=) And yes the proc is still velium shards for 12dmg.

I guess it makes sence since you need to be lvl 30 to survive on Velious that the weapon procs at that lvl. I dont know what kind of damage it will do on the proc but I would think a better weapon is in your hands by that lvl thana 2hs that is 12/43. But I do like the idea about putting the proc lvl on the weapon.

Is it something to make the weapon useful at later levels (such as damage) or is it something stupid?
It doesn't proc at 14? Bleh. Even if it procs as low as 15, by the time my 12 warrior can get this weapon to proc he'll be able to afford a better (AND CHEAPER) weapon, like a northman claymore (smithed item, 14/44). That makes me a sucker for spending his life savings on this stupid thing.
I'm guessing the price drops as soon as people realize it doesn't proc early enough to be much use.
I'd suggest it be modified to proc sooner, like at level 12. That's when I heard it procs, before I bought it, and it made sense so I believed it. 15+ doesn't make sense! I'll laugh if it turns out you have to be 20 or something to get it to proc. But I guess I won't be too surprised <sneer, jab>.
I do like the idea of a weapon that procs at low levels, 12 sounded good. If there's concern about it being too powerful, how about lowering the stats a little? Like, say, an 11/45 2-hander that procs velium shards at level 12. The proc only adds maybe 10-15% to the weapon's damage output, keeping it in the fine-steel league.
I'd also like to suggest that the proc level be displayed on weapons! Like this:
"Effect: Velium Shards (35)"
I'm guessing the price drops as soon as people realize it doesn't proc early enough to be much use.

It really depends on how much damage the proc does.. if it signifigantly increases the damage output then you'll use this weapon as a magic FS when you get it (hunt wisps or something) then move on to a better weapon until you reach the level it will proc.

just to clear this up the velium weopons process at 25 i have had the star and have the 2handed sword the dot is 12 dmg not the best weopon by far
