I got one of these things and it keeps telling me my will is not enough to wield this weapon. My question is what is proc? LOL And will it be worth it to train on 1HB since I am already a 17 and have no skill at 1HB. Was hoping I could dual weild this and the screaming mace. Any suggestions?

Velium weapons proc at 25. COLDAIN velium weapons, purchased in Thurgadin proc for level 1. The difference is that this level 10 probably had the Coldain version.

well, i have one and my roomie told me that it won't start doing anything till level 25.

I have a lvl 14 Druid, and still has not proc. Why did yours at 9 and 10 when i have had it since lvl 3 and now 14 and still nothing.

Don't be so concerned with damage only. It is the damage/delay ratio that is important. I upgraded from this weapon to a Sarnak enforcer (dmg7 dly28). Yes went from 8 damage to 7 and is an upgrade. that's because the Sarnak will hit four times in the same time it takes the Velium Morningstar to hit 3 times. 38 delay=3.8seconds 28delay=2.8seconds. 3.8*3=11.4seconds, 2.8*4=11.2 seconds. When you consider that a 7 damage rated weapon does 14 damage max without strength bonus, and an 8 does 16 max. (at least at my level) four hits with the 7 is 56 points max damage, three hits with the 8 is 48pts damage. A noticable difference. Of course, when your hits come up in the text box, 16 points of damage looks more impressive, but you are doing less damage. The weapon is rated average ratio, and is good for lower levels. You should have better by 17th level though! Ignore the proc. if you are high enough to use it, the weapon should be junk to you. This is a weapon for starters up to about level 12-15, or as soon as you can afford better. Of course, if you're a cleric, you shouldn't be hitting too much anyway, so invest in defense first, but then upgrade it.

I have druid, it proc at 25 for me.

It does not proc at 24th for my Cleric... My guess would be 25th, 26th or 27th if it procs for your Shaman at 27th.

I don't know when it starts, but it does proc at lvl 40 and the proc is a 12pt DD. The one I got dropped off a Frost Giant in Iceclad.
