We were all noobs and all had hopes of being a high level where you can do high lvl quests and high lvl dungeons. Please just put stuff on here that has to do with where you found this stuff so everyone doesnt have to waste there time reading trash to find info.
Flawless diamonds can be bought from a dorf merchant down in the dorf town in lower crystal caverns along with some other flawless things cant remember what else can be bought there but know the diamonds are one of them
Ok, yesterday was my first time in Velious, so forgive me if I am wrong. But, I think I zoned into Crystal Caverns when I hit the gem inside that Ry`Gorr fort in Eastern Wastes. I hope this helps, actually I hope I am correct and that this helps. =)
Look, I just want to know the facts please... Zone. Part of Zone Name of Mob. Approx Level of Mob. How many people it will take to do this. Also, anyone have any facts about the Corroded Breastplate?
yes. I have the corroded breastplate. It was a relatively rare drop in Kael in the arena area. I am a level 60 ogre warrior. I have asked around at least a million times trying to find the gems with absolutely no luck though. I hear that the flawless diamonds are from siren's grotto. My guild is the strongest guild on my server and, even they are reluctant and afraid to go hunt in sirens grotto because the zone is so difficult. So basically this quest seems like ******** and im angry that i even got my hopes up after gettin the corroded breastplate.

I can't wait for all the other MMORGPs to come out so that I can drop EQ and tell Verant to go #*&@ themselves with there crappy quests that is probably broken and don't work the way its suppose to.

If you read his message, he said he had a Corroded Breastplate, not the Corroded Chain Tunic. Flawless diamonds are used in all the class Breastplate quests.
Some of the Gems are dropped in the POF (Plane of Fear) and such other areas. I also think I saw gems in the Hole and Kedge Keep. So your looking to get the gems at around 45th level or so, unless you get your guild or friends to help you out.
Still looking for Marble.

The Flawless Diamond drops in Siren's Grotto a zone full of unmezzable mobs with 15k+ hp that hit for up to 200 damage and nearly always pull in mulitples. We have 1 in the guild. Corroded BP dropped for us also on a Kael raid. We were killing the extremely high level giants by the Temple of Rallos Zek. Siren's Grotto the diamond dropped right by the zone in. I think the basic tables are thus... --------------------- XXX-A Zone Drops this gem off level 50-55 mobs XXX-B Zone Drops this gem off level 55-60 mobs --------------------- Risk/Reward...Siren's Grotto and Dragon Necropolis are worth incredibly rediculous amounts of exp...thus the parts for the armor are going to drop there. Be warned, the only way to get a group through Siren's alive is with the group Abscond/Succor spells. Fighting is futile in that zone for one group, you want 3-4 to make a dent, and even then each group would be holding a mob a piece...very tough zone. DN has these fun spawn traps...step on the wrong spot and OOPS! 6 mobs spawn on your part 55 plus beating the snot out of the one that stepped on trap...
Have fun...but hey! To be very honest I can't wait to go over to these zones, and I'm 60, just a matter of when our "deathgroup" starts out that way again =)
OK I *THINK* that the new gems and armor stuff comes from those gem/enchanterd armor beats, would make the most sense, I dont know where they are tho, I hear they are around level 50...

SoV is a 45+ expantion. yes there are blue con mobs to even a 31. But I think that is just a teaser. Every dunguen I ahve seen there so far have been mean and even even to red cons to 50+ folks. Look at West Wastelands just about everything there is red con at 50. Lets see some high lvls do some of these quests and see if this armor is better then the Kunark high end stuff before a bunch of N00bs start downing some great quest armor
SoV is great exp from about 35 plus, not 45 plus, u can just go to east wastes and iceclad till 45, then you can go to your allmighty dungeons and get some phat stuff
Level 30 and up should have no problem if they play smart. Most of the MOBs in Iceclad are easily doable by a group at lvl 30, and the experience is awesome. My ranger skated through level 30--ostensibly a hell level, though not as tough as 35 and up--in Iceclad, hunting cougars, dervishes and the occasional Midnight. If you're lucky enough to find a competent group, you can even do it at lower levels.
Iceclad is great for 30 and above groups, counting the Tower dungeon, and Eastern Wastes and Great Divide are giving me great exp with very few deaths at mid-30's outside of the dungeons in groups, or soloing lower level mobs. So the expansion really can be for 35+ and be something new to try and new zones to explore. You just can't expect to get the best armor in the game at level 35, before there were even any expansions (unless, of course, you are twinked out of your gourd).
Your crazy if your paying attention to that crazy gnome at docks, Velious is doable at lvl 30, high 20s if your careful.
You got stuff in iceclad, tower of frozenshadow, east wastes, crystal caverns, greater divide, and some of skyshrine.
And yes western waste is 50+, but look at kunark, you can go there at lvl 1 but they have high lvl dungeons like charakis, sebilis and chardok.
So if you wana wait and "Concure" solb, lguk and kedge, by all means wait til you do. But you'll be missing out on some great loot, and great experiances.
I fought in the keep and the gems were droppping here, the other items i have no idea. Diamond prob dropped deeper in and I tell you at 51, the entrance had mob's conned RED so... good luck

ok, so what - let him dream. really rude to crush people's dreams, isnt it? also, he said he "has a 35 warrior." doesnt' mean he has no other higher lvl characters. think before you say something =)

Snobs? You grow up clown. Most people have an over 50 character since the game has been out 2 years already. They need the most new stuff for over 50 because its so boring at high levels. Verant caters to the majority. Theres plenty for you newbies to do already. You niether deserve or need the items from the quests that use flawless diamonds anyway unless your high level.

And BTW, newbies get bored too lol.. Nothing like hunting with 4 diferent twinks in all the same zones over and over because of the lack of new lower level zones... We need more unrests! Damn you Verant!
no he is correct there is a ton of stuff for newbies to do. as u said u run through the same zones over and over. well then u arent looking at the incredible wealth of other things to do other than leveling at oasis or south karana. go find a different dungeon in a different place. or shut ur mouth and put u time in at the "boring" zones and get u self a lvl 50 char.

LOL. look i think we all need to stop the newbie and veteran hate war. while we fight amongst ourselves, Verant is getting off at seeing us all strugle to get things that seem impossible. I am on ECI one of the olders Servers ever. Started about 8 months ago. I have a 40 warrior and a 30 necromancer. I have had the opportunity to get all my crafted on my own and worked my warrior hard. my reward was twinking my Necromancer. I just joined a small guild. So in the Veterans Deffence there is plenty for a newbie to do if you research. Go after what u want. Now i would love this Velious Armor. but it will be awhile cause i need to get to 45 and need a solid group. it will be tough. but i have no doubt that in time i will get it. I would love to get back at Verant one day for making things difficult at times. and i think the best way is to get a solid number of people 45 up and do an ultimate Raid. like 80+ people and raid a dungeon many believe impossible to conquer. its possible. But it takes numbers. thats what Verant is trying to say. In my opinion next to nothing is soloable after 45. and even if it is. the downtime must suck. Never the less. Numbers and having fun is the key to this game. I wish i could get 80-100 people together to get a Red mob at lvl 50. Guarantee he wont stand a chance. and if 80-100 people need to Role for loot. So be it. Me myself. i would just have fun getting together with that many people to kill something that doesn't die very often. and the reason is because this is a game and i am here for fun. Thats what its all about.
