Others on the Timelocked Progression servers pointed me to this quest in game. I complted it very quickly with my level 14 necro.

Be aware if attempting this at lower levels that the halflings heal each other like mad and assist unless they are grey to you (tagging one as a yellow when I was around level 9 brought the whole camp on my head --even though they are pretty far apart).

Dark elf NPC takes the helms even if he is prone to insulting you in text.
umm...

yes, the delay is high. but the ratio is average. Aggreed when trying to build skill a lower delay weapon is preferable... but the ratio is FINE... people are silly, always so despirate for a sickeningly low delay... the dammage is 12... its not rusty and your not paying out the nose for it. I think its too bad its not magical... that MIGHT make it a lot better. or a stat or 2 on it. for the level and stuff its not THAT bad.... and its fun to kill halflings.

I think a Rusty Halberd is faster than this and also has 12 DMG, so until you can afford a Halberd, use this I presume lol
Yeah it sucks but..

You get great faction with the outer guards when you slay the stumps. Then when you turn in the helms you get indigo faction. Plus the necklaces they drop will get you in good with the clerics.

Plus the biggest benefit is slaying those worthless and vile stumps. Pure pleasure!

Could you please direct me to Rivervale? Mwahahahaha
Horrible...

Pet

Seem like a nice pet weapon
RE: Pet
# Apr 24 2002 at 9:03 PM Rating: Decent
Yep, my chanter's pets will wield 2-handers also. Now that the pet is high enough level to dual-wield, he will even hold a 2-hander in his off hand while still holding the original sword in the right hand... kinda strange, but I am not complaining.

I like giving my Necro pet two scythes to dual-wield: doesn't increase the damage, but sure makes them look tough :).

This was a good pet weapon at low levels though, given I was killing halflings for hides anyway.

My mage's pet wields 2h staves I summon for it quite well. My husband's necromancer's pet wields 2h swords that he finds. So yes, pets do indeed wield 2-handers.
What's the point?

Unless this thing is actually magical or useful for some other quest, it would appear to be a waste of time.
