Greetings,

I tried for 2 months to get this robe for my necro and I finally got it. The robe of pestilance is colored black with dark purple and dark blue edging, evil and still appealing.

I will take a screenshot and send it in soon.
Egh ppl...

I have did the Twilight seas quest almost all of the pieces for the warrior. Sold the pauldron and Bp for 2k apiece not bad for an easy quest. It is just time consuming. The mobs are all static so you need some friends to do this kind of stuff just run around zone smashing mobs and then named ones pop they usually drop a lore magic item. For this robe though i wouldn't even waste my time. I would rather go to LGuk and camp the one froggy that drops the shiny metallic robe.... just my 2cp

Miniature Armband

Got the miniature armband drop tonight in Twilight Sea, in the hidden valley accesible via the underwater tunnel located at loc+800,-900.
on this map: http://www.eqatlas.com/luclin/twilightseamap.html

dropped by a Grol Baku Jeweler. DB at 51, was a very easy fight, these don't seem to have much HP.
It only dropped the miniature armband for me.

Where exactly did you find the mob? Did you have to trigger it? I've scoured the entire hidden valley with a druid friend and I still couldn't find it.

Not really triggered, just kill everything and your named mob will eventually appear.

I have a raw silk robe or something with that kind of name. +6 ac is all it does. And I was lucky I found it since absolutely nothing I see from vendors is necro wearable besides some tattered stuff. This robe looks very well and would pay handsomely for it if I didn't have less than 5 pp to my name.

You have a lvl 47, and you don't know better than to rely on buying from merchants?

While there's not much you can get with the lvl 21, there are about 5 different robes I can think of that you could get with the lvl 47. plus, a lvl 21 necro should be able to easily farm pelts/silks and accumulate a few hundred plat, in under a day. Then you could buy an Oracle robe, Blackened Crystalline robe, Crystalline robe, or similar. For under 100, you could get a flowing black robe, or white dragonscale tunic.

However, I do agree with one point of yours. I think this is pretty nice robe, and is better than any of those I mentioned above.

But ditch the raw silk. Cmon, you REALLY can't look like much of a necro in creamy yellow.

I think you're missing the point, FallinDevl. This wasnt intended to be done solo. According to Verant, nothing is intended to be done solo for that matter. As a comparison, try doing the warrior armor quests solo with a warrior. I'm guessing you'll need to be at least level 60 (and probably significantly higher) :) to have a prayer of living through a fight with some of the mobs in question. Given the intent of low to mid forties groups hunting for quest items, this isnt that bad. None of it is great for any class, but you dont have to be planar to get it either.

Well, I still don't agree. I'm not sure a mid forties group could hunt or would want to hunt this stuff anyways.. the coterie come to mind. While it may be true that this quest was designed for a group to do, the fact is most necros spend their time solo. Not all do.. but most do. And so I hold to my point, that the risk vs. reward is not worth it. Btw, I collected all the peices for this robe when Luclin had first come out, and I never got to turn it in because I was KoS to the people that give the quest ;p Rather than fix faction with Katta, I killed their guards instead ;D

Umm, the stuff is droppable. Other classes and races aren't all KOS there. Give items to friend, have them turn in and give you the robe.

missconception about the necro class is what has made people of other classes hate us and you are prime example you prob solo all you way to that lvl and i dont think the guild is going to mind helping you unless you to busy soloing to even notice the guild chat my point provent i finally got this robe and i love it 1 day of my guild been in there ( and mind you all lvl 40 to 45 we got enough drops for 4 necros to get theirs robes

Not that good :(

This robe really isn't that great. The stats are not bad at all, hp/mana is very good to see for a necromancer and it has good int as well not to mention saves. But the trouble is the quest to get it. You need to be at least lvl 50 to do this quest solo I'd say. The drop from Scarlet Desert isn't too tough, the sun revs that you need to hunt resist darkness a lot, but not too tough, you could prolly kill them lower if you wanted. The Coterie in TM are a lot harder though. They hit hard, they proc a 200 damage life tap and you can't fear them. Your best bet is to shackle of spirit them and have pet tank, then BoD the vampire and pact your pet. Then the other peice from Twilight Sea requires you to hunt in a place where there is a good chance of adds.
The risk reward isn't very good here if you ask me. The robe is a nice robe, but for the lvl you need to be to get it, it becomes less nice.. and then considering the time spent to do the quest it becomes even less nice.
The good thing here is, that the quest items aren't no drop, so in theory if you were a low lvl necro seeking a better robe, you could travel about luclin and purchase the the different items from people if they happened to have them.
Now, I'm not trying to say this robe sucks and it is completely worthless... but you have to consider, is it worth all the time and the lvl you have to be to get a robe that is only on par with a froglok bonecaster's robe? In my opinion it would be better ( and safer ) to wait a few lvls and pick up a nicer velious quest robe or perhaps a robe from skyshrine or pog :)

just FYI: I could solo every one of the quest mobs for the luclin armor quests with my bard at 40.

I did have a SLIGHT issue single pulling the spire spirits, because there are casters nearby that will add. Other places I'd get added Melee mobs but I tend to just ignore them.

its not so bad if you make friends with a druid :) if all else fails, you can usually buy all the pieces for the quest from other players.
Whoa...

The caster loot from Twilight Sea is incredily good. I mean, this is good int, good mana, some hp, and some saves. It would probably be better if that str or dex was sta instead, but it kicks the melee pieces right in the bum IMO.
