2 h blunts .
# Jul 28 2002 at 2:48 PM Rating: Decent
Who ever posted with subject " worthless " ( cant remember name ) is true about this item not being good ... but ...

Ya also said that once a pure caster gets a stein of moggok they never use a 2h blunt again . WRONG ! ! ! there are a few very very very nice 2 h blunt staves for pure casters. My 47 chanter uses a Chetari Wardstaff ( 14 int, 8 cha, some good resists, a little mana and hp, etc ). It is better then my old combo of stein and rod of glamour so :P

both setups kind of suck, chetari staffs aren't eal bad but they aren't real good either, as a caster i want to make sure i can have the max int and hp + mana in both hands at ALL times, and i fill that with my setup perfectly, just check my stuff below under yevun, anyways i use a polished stone staff and a dreamweaver webshield, i get a much better int + mana +hp ratio setup then either of the two setups.

#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 07 2002 at 10:27 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) The enntire line of twilight quest's suck major d*ck. REALLY The staff might be good for level's, maybe level 15. But WTF? Everyone here is right about better things dropping just doing the friggin quest. JESUS, really, This is a HUGE waste of time ONLY DUMB MUTHER FRUCKER'S WOULD WASTE TIME HERE!!! (*hint* Cap's lock)
RE: Not only that

1. All the int caster staffs are the same.
2. None of the TS weapons are very good, and i mean NONE.
3. ALL of the armor in ths Twilight quests is decent for people of the appropriate level, and if you had not yet realized, you will get insane exp while hunting in the areas for these quests. Personally, while hunting in Dawnshroud i picked up 2 of my twilight sea items (for pieces i wanted) and lvld from 39-43 in 4 days. A lvl a day for 4 days is nothing to sneeze at folks.
4. All the the items are not no-drop, so WTF do you expect for mid lvl quests, godly **** with non- no drop components?
5. Of course you thought of none of this because you are a whiny little cleric with apparently NO experience on the moon. So quit whining!

6. Dark, you, like me, are a cleric. WTF are you doing giving a crap about a mage item, much less posting about it? Go **** and moan about the Twilight Cleric stuff. Let the mages complain about their own stuff. (and for a mage (alt), this isn't bad, just not ultra-uber. still can be beaten by 2 1h objects, but hey, it's a fun quest)

So true, while working on doing these quests I killed mobs that just DROPPED better items. These quests are pointless.

By the time you can do this quest, your meleeing days are long gone. Additionally, the person who put together the pure caster Twilight quests must have BRAIN DAMAGE because no pure caster uses 2HB after they scrape together 200PP and buy a Stein of Muggok(sp).

Another thing, this item weighs 6.5, WTF? That's freakin heavy for an INT caster, most of which only start with 60-70 STR and rarely have many +STR items.

I don't know what they're smoking in their design meetings, but I sure whish they would share.

The really funny part about the Twilight Sea quests is that if you ignore the quests and just farm the monsters in Twilight Sea, you'll end up with better items and in less time.

First off, I do agree that these items are kinda crummy, but like someone said they're not NODROP, so you can twink your little characters with them.

Second though, I wanted to point out that this staff is for MAG... and yes, they do use 2hb. All of the staves of mastery are 2hb, the burnt wood staff is 2hb. It adds 3str, which means a net weight increase of 3.5. What did you want? A 2hb weighing 0.1? If you can get this, you can easily get a crafted necklace giving 7str/int...

And personally, I don't mind hopping in to melee a little now and then... heck, 2 hits is only about 300hp, and what else are druids gonna do besides heal the int casters?

With all due respect, you're meleeing days are over by lvl 25 or so and long gone by mid to upper 40s (when you can start doing these quests).

Yes I know the mastery staves and burnt wood staff are 2hb, so? The mastery staves are used ONLY to summon a pet, after that they have no use. Put them in your bag and put on +INT/MP/HP/Resist gear. I can't even remember if the Burnt Wood staff has to be equiped to use, but again that's situational. You will usually want the +INT/Mana/etc gear on instead. You're not going to be meleeing while you're trying to cast a 13 second right click effect, that's for damn sure! Can we say interrupt?

And I don't know what group would want their Mage meleeing, you're right you're going to take about 300 damage from 2 hits in melee combat over lvl 50, and I don't know what kind of Uber gear you have but I have pretty decent stuff and only 1.1k hp and 590 ac self-buffed. You only have to take 4 rounds of melee to die with those stats.

The only INT caster that should even THINK about meleeing is chanter, because they can buff themselves up so incredibly, but even that is just for fun once in a while. Even with Boon of Garu, Augmentation, Rune, etc a chanter isn't gonna do any significant damage and they are going to take a beating if they get agro.

As for twinking, all both my low lvl twinks (22 Wizzy and 18 Chanter) have stein and very fast +INT dagger, that's a lot more useful than big slow staff. But to each their own...

Aye, true.
Aye, would take a share too =)

I wouldnt even TWINK a char with that stuff anyways /drool
There's something I have been thinking about:
the only way that armor has an use, would be if you could upgrade it like the shawl. Else, just trash it and give it to an orc pawn in gfay /shrug.

Look at the item it isn't "no drop" so the only use for this quest is to twink other characters.
