There is one thing some of you are missing about these quests......1: Not all of us can go and farm 50 hours every week 2: my mage is 48 and he is still wearing newb 3: I'm guessing none of you have ever heard the saying "Free armor is good armor" You ppl with you 65's twinking your characters with things that can cost up to 50k bah I rather work for my gear I'm running 203 int with some things I've bought plus my newb gear and you damn well know that is excellent I'm sorry I'm not some ubah freaking twink, everyone plays different if you decide to farm your life away....more power to you as for the rest of us who play EQ to quest good hunting....this is after all EverQuest not EverTwink...but thats just my 2cp

Where do I find the Talisman?
# Sep 22 2002 at 7:17 PM Rating: Decent
I just spent some time in Mons Letalis looking for the mob that drops a piece for my chanter robe and ran across this item. The Talisman of the Wind is dropped by a Windy Spire Spirit who's PH is any Spire Spirit inside the spire. At least I presume the Greaters are also PHs. I know the Lessers are as Windy popped in one of the lessers spots after I killed that one off.

2 words......Twink Gear
Seems to me...

The only people more or less satisfied with their Twilight quests are monks. There must be some other class with armor considered worth the time and effort.

Actually, for pre-planar gear the Cleric stuff is pretty nice... the Beastlord stuff is pretty good & even the Shaman stuff isn't bad.

By the time a mage can do this quest, he/she will have much better feet slot items: GEBS, Enshrouded boots, CC slippers, etc. IMHO all the magician Luclin armor quests are worthless. Thank, once again, Verant.

I totally disargee.....My mage has crapy armor and i am SO going to do these quest....Not all people farm of money or NOT all people are twinks, Heck i bearly have enough for my spells every level. Most of the time im either Exping or Helping a friend. And killing the stuff for the loot (is prolly rare) you will gain some good exp trying and even if you had better i will keep it in bank i mean you never know if you will lose your corspe and I will like to have something to back me up.....

But you dont have to agree with me

I don't necessarily farm money (although I have begun to do so lately) and I'm certainly not a twink but...

All you have to do is take 3 hours one day, go camp some Hill Giants in Rathe and you can buy way better than this. And at level 45, you still get plenty of xp. Experience and mega plat in Rathe Mtns. make the magician Twilight quests look like a major waste of time, I'm sorry to say. Until I started camping HGs I was still wearing my newb armor sandals too. But for about 2 hours work I bought blood weave lined shoes that are better than this. I'd bet this quest takes longer than 2 hours.

And for the guy below who is still wearing raw silk...dude...why didn't you do the newb armor quests at levels 5-10?

Agreed! 35 mage here, and I'm still using Raw Silk! Not that I'm not trying to upgrade, mind you :)
