never mind the brownies. the pained unicorn is on DRUID and RANGER Faction. go kill it for armor, and never be able to show your face in the guild hall again. Once again, Sony is asleep at the switch.

faction: King Theris
Soldiers of Tunare (DRUID GUILD)
Faydark's Champions (RANGER GUILD)

Granted the armor made is ranger/Rogue...but you kill faction to get armor???
No faction hit for brownies

I killed Thistle Underbrush and looted this item. No faction hits.
Who can fix this?
# Jun 14 2005 at 9:20 AM Rating: Decent
Who can we send complaints to on this. On stromm this sells in bazaar for 450pp!(if you can find it) It is very annoying to try to make level 15 armor that could cost more than 9k in materials. Would it even help to complain to someone that could fix it? Blah, i will just wait to try the experts armor!grr

Try the /bug and /feedback commands in-game. Beyond that, I believe there is one or more similar email addresses available off of Sony's front page of http://everquest.com/.

Just compare this item which only drops from 2 possible (named level 25ish mobs) to the item needed for Iksars Journeyman's bars: loose scales.

Loose scales drop from just about any scaled wolf, less so, but still EVEN INSIDE Cabilis from level 1 mobs.

This would be like Pouches dropping from Brownies in GFay or Steamfont except there isn't 200 of them running around at a given time.

I've noticed there are a number of very unfair drop rates when it comes to cultural armor smithing and tailoring. This mistletoe powder is used in HIE journeyman armor. BUT, the HIE expert armor uses fungus sap - which is a very easy drop in Gunthak tunnels. Some other races are stuck with rare drops for their expert armor. So as far as the HIE race, I think the common expert level drops outweighs the rare journeyman drops.

However, I do think the whole thing is screwed up - as it gives some races an easy route to smithing / tailoring skill ups while other races do not get that same advantage. The DoN cultural TS drop rates should be about the same for all races I think.
Bottleneck?

Only 2 whole named brownies in an entire zone to drop all of these for every questor? Does anyone know of anything or anyone else dropping this? I went tracking and could not find either of them anywhere in the zone for over an hour.

This is now marked "This item can be used in tradeskills."

it's for the DoN journeyman-level high-elf and wood-elf smithing (specifically for the mithril preparation).
ok for a lvl 1 noob

I guess it would be ok for a lvl 1person to help put out a little more damage..... otherwise worthless unless you want people to think u r a druid.. lol.
Useful with Bloodmaw

I made the Bloodmaw-part of the Iceclad map yesterday (you have to hand in 4 special parts of meat to Bloodmaw); Bloodmaw normally attacks everyone in range, invis or not.

Just target him, use this pouch and you have much Time do hand in the parts.

Maybe you have time enough to aggro some of the Tizmaks and let kill them with Bloodmaw *g*

Have fun with this.

# Jun 26 2003 at 12:32 AM Rating: Decent
it appears to be sold at a bag vendor in riverval so i headed there ,i went to the bag vendor and ... TADAM ! SURPRISE !!! no pouch to buy ....
so i would want to know if anyone has RECENTLTY bought this item at riverval s vendor ,or if there is a way to make the vendor sell it again ( a quest ? )or maybe i went to the wrong vendor?
RE: can t find it
# Jan 01 2004 at 12:12 PM Rating: Decent
it is a dropped item from thistle underbrush (mid-20's level mob in Lesser Faydark).

Chances are you found it on a merchant in rivervale because a player had looted it in Lesser Faydark then sold it for cash to the merchant in Rivervale.

RE: question?
# Apr 28 2006 at 12:12 AM Rating: Decent

I hunted down Thistle over a month ago for the Ivy Etched Tunic quest and he didn't drop any misteltoe. Tonight, I was helping a ranger friend hunt him down for his tunic. We killed Thistle 4 times and he dropped the powder each time (coincedently, he dropped the ivy cords only once). He's a tough bugger to kill (at least at lvl 30) but, looks like he'll be worth hunting continously!

As a warrior it gives me a animal pet to help take damage and you could give it to a low lvl toon and have it charm an animal and kill you mobs for you or help you kill your mobs =)

Level 38 Barb Warrior of Karana =)

Won't work since you need to be in your mid/high 40s to use it.
