Can anyone tell me whether you actually need to be lvl 55 to click on Arx Key and port in? And if so, can lower level characters be ported in?
Lvl 55 is needed to activate the clicky.
And yes if you can port in a level 1 character within your group

Not sure on the level to use/click it but I port my low levels alts in all the time. And often will port other new players who need a mount to loot the bridle. I have the key on at least 5 alts so any of them can meet the other person and do the port to the corpse so long as they are grouped for the port. The hard part is keeping the low levels alive.
I also make sure to run my alts thru the key quest when they get bigger, like around level 60 so never checked for the level 55 usage.
You can also get bridles off the guys in the quest. Just send your pets or mercs in to avoid banishment.
