I did 2 of these yesterday and the correct recipe is a s follows:
1 Medium Quality Folded Sheet Metal
1 Kite Shield Mold (really regular - not large)
1 Flask of Water
1 Smithy Hammer
Combined in the Cultural Forge in Halas only
But since this recipe has component costs of 22+ p now it is no item to produce for the Bazaar only.

I am a barbarian and tried the cultural forge in halas, no luck. added another sheet of metal, wouldn't combine in cultural forge but would in normal forge with above mentioned lower stats. Will try per another post adding frost temper and imbued ivory. let you know lol...

I just tried this receipe and it would not combine i had
1 Medium sheet of metal,
1 water flask,
1 kite shield mold,
and a smithing hammer.
It would not combine, I added a second medium sheet of metal and it worked but the shield only had the following stats:
Slot: secondary
AC: 9
Wt: 10.0
Size: Large
Class: War, Clr, Pal, Rng, SHD, BRD, ROG, SHM
Race: HUM, BAR, ERU, ELF, HIE, DEF, HEF, IKS, VAH, FRG
Slot 1, Type 7: empty
any idea where I am going wrong?

Were you using the barbarian cultural forge?
If you said no to either of those, that is your problem.

no to both--> however upon searching i noticed that this recipe listed here is the same for a standard forged kite shield so i think this recipe is definately missing some information. or perhaps i am unable to read it correctly today.
thanks for the info.
also on the recipe link to this there is no mention of race or cultural forge requirement, that is whay i didnt know.
