Got him today in the middle of the charred pit south of the Giant Castle. Solo'd with a 77/345 Rogue in basic SoF&TSS Gear. Spent all Discs (saving Counterattack for his Rampage)...Dropped me to 15% health, spent one Hot pot and about to click Heal Pot when he fell.

I was lucky enough to get this drop tonight on Vazaelle with my 56th level Bard. I was just killing time in Burning woods, waiting to get a group, when a very friendly high level mage named Jocster ( who was camping Fabled Gorgul Packlock ) offered to help me take down Fabled Gullerback.

I got Gullerback on track, and pulled him to giant fort. The fight went pretty well for the most part, with the pet doing the tanking, me dotting, and mage healing pet. It got a bit touch and go when Gullerback got enraged near the end and put the beat down on the pet, but we just held out and the ape went down.

Great way to end the night :)

p.s Oh, and if there are any foolish bards out there thinking of kiting this mob, don't even consider it ( unless you're high level and uber, I guess ). Earlier in the evening I tried that, without reading up on mob's stats first, and I got my *** handed to me. He summoned me three times and got me down to 8% health before I managed to make a break for it to Skyfire. Whew.
piece of cake

couldn't slow with my 70 shaman. 66 air pet tanked without breaking a sweat untill enrage..even then a quick heal was all it took to take this beast down. fire, poison and diseased based dmg spells all stuck for full dmg.

Had 2 attemps at this guy first went like this:

Went looking for him with myself (70 beastlord) and a guildie, a 55 wiz. First pull i got an add and the wiz took it. Meanwhile he was beating the snot out of my pet. I tried to slow him but after many attempts failed. Gullerback hit my pet for, well I forget now, but i think it was 500-600 ish. Since i had no slow i was chain healing my pet for 3k every 12.5 seconds. The wizard then finally killed the add but I was practicly oom then and we had to succour out.

Second try we came back with a 64 ranger who tracked him down and pulled without any adds. Didn't bother trying to slow this time and healed. Pet kept aggro well while wiz nuked and ranger shot with trueshot. At about 5-10% he enraged and my pet went down, aggroed the wiz and was taken down by the ranger.

I'd like to thank Marder and Tinyhands for their help to get this for my warrior :)

Did this camp today with a 55 Berserker, 59 Ranger, 61 Cleric and myself, a 61 Shadowknight. We had no problem really with this kill. The cleric finished off with around 15% mana but wasn't full to start if I am assuming correctly. I was buffed to 6.6k HP 1475 AC (conviction and self buff) and he hit into the 650's max. The fight took between 3 and 4 minutes as I got three spear sets in, which were mostly or completely resisted.. My harm touch was resisted as well. As long as you have a cleric and well buffed tank, this is single groupable 55+. Just make sure to have the cleric start the heals at 70% to 60% of the tanks health.
no bst slow

Duo'd him with a 61 CLR and 69 BST.

He hits pretty hard and fast, I was unable to slow him with beast slow, kept resisting. Basically I just kept a CH chain going non stop and about 3 minutes later he gave the cleric a new shoulder piece.

Tried soloing this guy today....just some fyi....im 1900 ac and 10k self buffed hp almost 300 to resists...ok.....carry soulfire (5 ch's) and ch lay hands...got him down to 65 percent but used lay hands at 20 percent and 2 charges of soulfire at 20 percent each....so ....well he was kickin my butt....is fast...so bring a slower and a healer...and should be good to kill this guy...hit me max 475...but i have lots of mitgation aa's and pretty good ac plus some avoidance aa's and augs...still he didnt miss much...gonnna be a tuff fight without a slower....good luck....besides the shoulders werent an up grade hehe/salute

As others have posted, the giant fort makes a good spot to keep your helpers at. I suggest pulling gullerback to there to make things easy, and minimize unwanted adds.

Have your tracker and/or puller go out and get Fabled Gullerback. He runs really slow, so make sure he stays with you. He hit me for a maximum of 671dmg. He has a decent amount of HPs. He has no procs, or spell effects of any sort, just straight melee. You cannot change his run speed, but he doesn't run away at low health. He Enrages at 10% Health. He does summon past the 96% mark. Doesn't Flurry. He is an undead monster.

All in all, a relatively easy duo with a 66 cleric(5k mana pool) and a 70 ranger tank(8.1khp during fight).

Best of luck!

just a bit to add to help those looking to go after him, agreed he hit pretty hard upwards to 750, does summon but not very often (not in our case of 8 kills tonight) does go enraged at 10% but drops his enrage at 5%, so stop attacking and cast on him for 5% then reengage. was a cake walk for a 54 warrior, 65 warrior, 64 BL (me), 60 shaman, 62 druid, and 64 cleric. spawns very fast, 5 mins? we camped between the giant fort and the crater in BW for druid to not have to pull far.

hope this helps a bit

Easy camp... bring your grp to the base of the ramp by the Giant fort. Make sure you bring a tracker becuase Gullerback doesn't have a set spawn point. Te should spawn around either the crater or the fort . Once you pull him be ready. Not the easiest Fabled mob out there ... Hits hard. Once he's dead either his fabled or regular brethern will pop almost instantly... Go get him agian. I had a grp that was cycling in alts and we killed him 6 times withing 1.5 hours .... EASY little upgrade.

I WON ROLL

was killing wasps for potion quest in burning woods with guildies when the ranger spoted this fabled on track. He was a even con to me, and our group consisted of

67 paladin
60 paladin (me)
67 ranger
64 beastlord
70 shammy

Ranger kited him around while the rest of us beat on him, he's wasn't very happy about being kited and was quick to turn on us and deliever a quick couple 600+ point hits, at which time we just disengaged. Greenie adds were starting to do some decent damage and making a pretty little train that consisted of wurms, undead monkeys, wasps and various other assorted mobs, and was starting to be a distraction as fight wore on. About 50% of way through fight i peeled off and started killing the greens while rest of group continued their assault on him, healing themselves as needed. I got to join in for the last 5% of kill and won the roll. Was it a challenge for my group...nope...but then again we weren't looking for him and this was a nice little bonus :)

Also, we were all using ventrilo (internet voice software) which i think added to the ease with which we took him down. If you don't use it, you really should as it makes battles go considerably smoother :)
