Regarding JonEQjunkie's comment.

I'm sure it is frustrating to you, that as a casual player without an uberish guild/large group of high level friends to assist you, you will likely never get a shot at this. But, as defined by yourself, you are a casual player. Therefore; Why would you "need" such an uber breastplate? The whole concept of the game, is to better yourself...upgrading your character as you go along...in order to eventually reach a point where something like this is a possibility for you. It was never meant as an upgrade from even say...a Vindii Breastplate...but rather, this is to give EP or better characters something to shoot for with the fabled. All drops are not placed there to cherry pick by anyone of any level. I'm in an EP guild, who is working on time access as we speak...but I have no clue if this is even an easy kill for us..if not....we'll hit mobs that we can handle...Just like we do in the rest of the game content. I have no doubt that there are fabled mobs out there, that are both well within your reach, and still an upgrade for you....with a group/groups.

I know that last year, I saw people from all different guilds work together better than I had ever seen them before...just so everyone could get some of the nicer items..In fact...I saw it happen on three different servers, and the loots were based on a waiting list. In almost every situation, there were people who had never played together, who were willing to camp a fabled mob for 8-12 hours or more...even after having gotten their own loot...staying to see that everyone got theirs..or at least until a suitable replacement was found for them. I hope you are able to find a group like this, and see that even someone who is very limitted in play time, can have a chance at some nice upgrades :) Best of luck to you!!
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 17 2005 at 6:19 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Casual players should not be able to get as good loot as people that spend all their time raiding, period. You can get 150hp loot from don and ldon gear when you put augs on it, and the best weps from don now are 51/39 and the 1handers are around 15/18. So stop complaining, seriously. You have no justifaction as to why someone who doesn't do as much work should get the same reward as those who work their asses off to get the gear they do, so anyone whos arguing that casual players are screwed because they can't get high end raid gear, can shut it.

Man, get off your high horse already. It's just a game, it's not life . . .

Ever hear the saying, "Life is like a game."

Well this game is like life. The post your responded to is correct. Unless your in a strong raid guild, your not going to see this BP. Pick up raids are not going to be fast enough forming up or stay together long enough to have a shot at it. Very nice BP, but this one is beyond even Santa.

Also, the guy that those big guilds walked on today, will be the replacement players of tomarrow....hope they don't have a good memory. =) Forget your guild tag for a while and enjoy the hunt with those beside you.

also regarding JonEQjunkie... THe most upscale of the guilds on my server who have tanks with around 15k hp are nearly whacked senseless by the newer fabled (70+ ones)... The tanks can barely stay alive in a fight like this.. This item is something near impossible for the casual player to get (I kno its true) and also some near impossible for upscale guilds to get. I see your point, but take this into consideration.. These mobs are challenging for anybody..

Max these guys hit (Fabled Venril Sathir, Fabled Trak, Fabled King) is 5400, now with warrior disc thats 2400 Max hit, a 15k tank which is what we have could easily take this seeing that with Shielding and high AC he would hardly hit for 2400 with disc activated. Is there really nothing to this guy other than the dps he puts out? no adds or procs or anything just pure melee? if so piece of cake, under said circumstances.

I know a few people that actually boxed this encounter. not sure how and yes, they did get the Fabled Incarnadine Breastplate.
Casual Players
# Mar 23 2005 at 1:41 PM Rating: Default
I have been a casual EQ player for 3 years or so now. The fabled mobs are another example of how the casual player like me who has two kids, a full time job, and limited quality playing time will never get the gear that the people who seem to have unlimited playing time get. I used to get upset about this, but SOE doesn't care. As long as I pay my monthly subscricption rate SOE could care less. Any of the fabled mobs that I would have a shot to take out with my guild and playing time are not even upgrades. It is however a double edged sword. If they made this BP drop off of a mob that the average casual player could get to we would still not get it. It would just make it easier for the large guilds to get to. The casual player will always be low on the totem pole. Get used to it or figure out a way to play 16 hours a day 7 days a week.

There is SO much stuff to do/see/kill/quest in this game it's unbelievable. There are so many different ways to upgrade your gear, your abilities...

The reason why you will never see items like this is because the scale is ALWAYS increasing. If it stopped at a peak, everybody would reach that peak, get tired of the game, and be bored. That's the beauty of this MMORPG, there's ALWAYS something you're character hasn't done.

While this item might not be a goal YOU can reach, it's certainly a goal that some see plausible. Just like others might see YOUR gear as an impossible goal.

LDoN, LFG Tool, alternate flag access... they make content for both types of players... don't get all bent out of shape because you can't have what's given to the raiding type out there.

I have to say this and agree with the person above (I understand this is 2yrs after the post; but still), yet say this to your comment of "what's given to the raiding type out there".. They are only "raiding type" because my happy *** & the guy who made this 1st post is out working so they can sit and claim some disbility or just be flat out lazy and live off our tax dollars and play EQ with our money.. I work 40+ hrs a week and maybe get 1.5hrs a day to play if that.. I guess thats why I made a BST Box because I got tired of getting on and having LFG up and waste my time sitting in the Guild Lobby because as the average jo you dont have much solo options.. Now it's myself 70 Paladin / 698 AA's - 68 BST (box) 45 AA's (capped all healing aa's as she is my healer, slower, assist with pet) & her 64 Warrior pet.. Sad but when you only get small amounts of time to play its better then nothing; and what ever I cant solo/duo I dont bother with it..

Just wanted to add my 2 cents..

Bodystompper Gigolo - 70 Paladin 698 AA's - Veteran of Povar
Bedfriend Nitely - 68 BST 45 AA's - Box - Veteran of Povar
Bard useable

I think this would be an awsome BP for a bard between the AC, HP, and mana the BRASS modifier would help the bards with slows and haste-damagesheilds. My 66 bard would love this BP and get use of all the effects. The clicky invis would be handy for groups, in those times when we have groupmembers that invis themselves and run ahead or fall behind when we are running through bad areas.

Cleric Invis

This item makes the second unlimited charge clicky invis item usable by Cleric's in the game, the other being the Cloudy Mask that is a rare drop of Mini Ateh Ha Ra in Vex Thal. Paladin's are in the same boat, but at least they can defend themselves. I would be highly disappointed in any guild that did not funnel this BP to the Cleric's first and then the Pally's second. This is where one looks at the overall strength of the guild vs. another plate classes short term gain. Also note, that at the level of play needed to acquire this BP, most warriors will be wearing a better BP.

Looking through eqrankings, the most common BP amongst top 100 warriors across all servers is still Raex's (the plane of time BP). Yes there are better, but they are not super common. This has more shielding, and slightly more ac/hp than Raex, so I'd rank this as better than the PoTime BP, assuming the warrior has echo of anger in another slot, Like the qvic gloves.

Since the Fabled Overking was killed by a time guild on my server, that hasn't even gotten qvic flagged yet, I'd say there is a real good chance that ALL plate classes would be represented among those who would want this BP.

Yes, I would love to have one for my cleric, but I'd also love to see some of our tanks get this as well.

lol - so many of this type of post, all absolute rubbish.

as always, this item is great for any of the classes listed, and has desireable effects for all.

with insta cast invis potions costing 12pp now, no class really requires a clicky invis.

I can see why other classes would argue over a warrior. Obviously there are additional effects for spells and songs on there, so every other class on there apart from warrior could argue that it's more applicable to them, but at the end of the day this is a highly desireable item for *any* of the classes listed.

Oh, and before I get done for warrior bashing, I am one :p

Ok , just for clarification, does the 12th item under Soveriegn Rage : Limit resist (magic allowed)mean that the improved damage effect will only work if magic based DDs are cast? Thanx for the help, if someone can clarify this.

Saw the link of this BP earlier today, and it was not suitable for all races to equip.
Instead, it had the same race requirement as the regular BP version.
Of all the races listed, Iksar is not one of them.
Sigh...
