I have farming this "Silver Sword hilt" for about 22 hours now(Not all at once)I have killed nothing but the mobs listed and have not got this drop.Anybody seen this drop recently and if so from what?

This dropped for me last night from a basilisk. 11/21/2005 I was just checking out this zone for the first time to see if I could solo here and on 3rd kill there it was. To bad I am a Shadow Knight.
I have been fighting a ton in Broodlands lately and have seen this drop twice.. once off a basilisk, and the second time was off a scorchclaw soldier. I have never seen one drop from the listed mobs.

I got this off a smoke dervish with my bard, but it is not bard useable, so i tried to run my wiz alt over to loot it, but it poofed in 6 min. which sucks, ill probably never see it again. I like how they will make really nice items drop from common mobs occasionally now. It makes grinding AAs more fun.
Just looted one from a smoke dervish near the lavastorm zone in Broodlands. He was a resistant little bugger and could see through invis.. that might be a way to figure out which mob will drop it, because the smoke dervs usually don't see invis...
Update: I actually got 2 of these to drop in the same evening, so apparently it's not terribly rare. Of course it could have just been dumb luck, I'll probably never see another one again.

The ability of the smoke dervishes to see thru invis is random and not related to the item. Was in the zone today and killed a few dervs that would see thru invis and dropped nothing.
Found this near the instanced Lavaspinner's Lair entrance... on a regular basilisk that was trained there.
Looks like this is another one of those very rare drops that drop off any of the trash mobs in the zone.
Some people complain about the rarity of these items, but I for one LOVE the chance of getting such amazing gear while grinding some trash mobs down.
edit: BTW, gave it to the happy little Druid who didn't want it until I pointed out the +2 mana regen.

Found on Smoke Dervish between entrance to Lavastorm and first instance zone.
Have spent countless hours killing at the same set of stones where I saw it drop when DoN came out, I havn't seen it drop once! It seems it's easier to get the FT4 range item from MPG arena then this item!

The day after DoN came out I explored and this dropped on the first kill at the third set of stones (smoke elementals?).
I came back with my druid thinking it would be an easy drop, and have spent a total of maybe 20 hours camping the 3 greenies kiting them around. I have not seen it drop again yet!
