Book Text:

Dwarves have a long history
of glorious warriors. They
are known for their
doggedness and ferocity in
battle. Most people also
understand that they are
not blind to the arts of
stealth and subtlety,
especially when it applies
to a good fight. What most
people do not recognize is
that symbolism is very
important to Dwarven
culture. Most Dwarves, in
fact, generally deny their
deep attachment to the
symbols of their own
culture, shrugging them off
as trinkets or adornments.
This book, however, covers
these symbols in depth,
with special attention paid
to the use of those symbols
on armor.

This volume shows the
symbols of Dwarven kings
and royalty throughout
history. It talks in-depth
about the history of each
symbol and the king or
noble family that bore the
crest. It becomes obvious,
at least to the author,
that some of these
individuals and families
faired better at least in
part due to the proper
choice of symbols on their
crests.

Among the pages of
discussion about these
symbols is a pattern. This
pattern artfully blends the
most powerful and
recognizable tokens from
famous Dwarven noble crests

to form a brilliant and
powerful symbol that seems
at once familiar and
completely original. You
know that you will be able
to reproduce this pattern
many times before the book
becomes worn and you must
replace it.

To create pattern for
tailoring armor templates
based on these patterns you
will need this book, a
large bottle of ink, a roll
of high quality vellum, a
quill and a compacted
backpack to hold the
patterns you will make.
You'll also need a book
binding to do the work.
