Book Text:
Gnomes are well known for their creativity and willingness to make the impossible happen. They have always walked their own path, almost oblivious to the opinions and often disparagement of others. Their world is full of idiosyncrasies, ritual, habit and relentless effort. These volumes
| explore all of those aspects as they are expressed in the symbols, art, and mechanical creations of Gnomes from their first diagrams to modern Gnomish art. It appears that the author's intent is to discover how these artistic expressions affect and reflect the lifestyles and attitudes of
|
| the society. Once those symbols are discovered, the author finds creative ways to put them to use on armor.
This volume discusses in-depth the use of color in Gnome culture. Their love of the earth and metal shows in the colors of their art and armor, but
| the author discovers several brighter colors, such as yellow, that have power to influence those that see it.
Among the pages of discussion about these symbols is a pattern. This pattern blends the most inspirational colors in Gnome history with a simple
|
| symbol to expose the power of those colors. You know that you will be able to reproduce this pattern many times before the book becomes worn and you must replace it.
To create pattern for tailoring armor templates based on these patterns you will need this book, a
| large bottle of ink, a roll of high quality vellum, a quill and a compacted backpack to hold the patterns you will make. You'll also need a book binding to do the work.
