Book Text:

Gnomes are well known for
their creativity and
willingness to make the
impossible happen. They
have always walked their
own path, almost oblivious
to the opinions and often
disparagement of others.
Their world is full of
idiosyncrasies, ritual,
habit and relentless
effort. These volumes
explore all of those
aspects as they are
expressed in the symbols,
art, and mechanical
creations of Gnomes from
their first diagrams to
modern Gnomish art. It
appears that the author's
intent is to discover how
these artistic expressions
affect and reflect the
lifestyles and attitudes of

the society. Once those
symbols are discovered, the
author finds creative ways
to put them to use on
armor.

This volume expands upon a
couple of the key symbols
discovered in the first
volume. These are the
symbols of royals and
leaders. They show up in
Gnomish art of all types.
They have become the
dominant symbols of the
society. The author also
explores the colors chosen
by the most inspirational
heroes.

Among the pages of
discussion about these
symbols is a pattern. This
pattern uses the most

powerful ancient symbols
and melds them with
powerful colors to produce
an image that appears both
timeless and fresh. You
know that you will be able
to reproduce this pattern
many times before the book
becomes worn and you must
replace it.

To create pattern for
tailoring armor templates
based on these patterns you
will need this book, a
large bottle of ink, a roll
of good quality vellum, a
quill and a compacted
backpack to hold the
patterns you will make.
You'll also need a book
binding to do the work.
