Book Text:

The Iksar armor symbols
contained in this book
arose from an ancient
language spoken during the
height of the Sebilisian
empire. Because Iksar are
already gifted with
impressive natural
defenses, these armor
symbols instead focus on
the enhancing the physical
and mental prowess the
wearer. The text
elaborates to recount many
battles fought by the Iksar
and the various strategies
used to overcome the
opposition. "All great
battles," it concludes,
"are determined not on the
battlefield but rather in
the minds of the
combatants." Needless to
say, the symbols held in

this book require a focused
mind, a warrior's spirit
and many hours of
meditation before they can
be fully mastered.

This book contains the most
basic of the ancient
Sebilisian armor patterns.
Known for their sharp power
consonants and tapered
designs, these symbols are
typically worn by young,
foolhardy Iksar who are
eager for battle
experience. Despite this
stigma, the runes do
provide a bit of protection
and strength to the wearer.
You know that you will be
able to reproduce this
pattern many times before
the book becomes worn and
you must replace it.

To create patterns for
tailoring armor templates
based on these patterns you
will need this book, a
large bottle of ink, a roll
of vellum, a quill and a
compacted backpack to hold
the patterns you will make.
You'll also need a book
binding to do the work.

My level 27 warrior, with gear that could be bought in the bazaar for 137pp + banded, did this rather easily.

The goblin ruins is a great place to kill goblins, but runners can cause adds really easily, so I found that I preferred the two tunnel openings to the tunnel mines. Kill 20 goblin warriors, loot their skins, go back to Sieeva and give her 4.

The next step was not so easy. The pond sturgeons are found near the FV zoneline, in the (gasp!) pond. They're rather easy, but they run and some wander. They don't leave the pond, so you have to fight them underwater. When they run (if you're 27 like me, it'll probably be well before 20%), you aren't screwed. Take out your bow and shoot them. They run in a circle around the edge of the pond, so do your best to catch up when they have to turn. I had some of them turn directly around and run back the other way.

Once you've killed 10, go back to Sieeva and give her one of the spines. You'll get this in return. If you have about 75 plat on you, you can then get the patterns for the seals!

Hurray. Now you can make the seals for the armor. All you need are a couple dozen jade shards and a lot of pp. >.<
