Book Text:

This book is an overview of
the history of Troll
society. Outsiders expect
that what Trolls call
society is nothing more
than an extended version of
king of the hill, where the
strongest and most brutal
lead. This is, of course,
true. However, it isn't as
simple as that. There are
rules in Troll society just
as there are in any other,
but those rules have not
prevented them from being a
generally chaotic and
undisciplined group of
savage and powerful
creatures. It becomes
clear that this hectic way
of life has left Trolls
little time for more
creative aspects of life.
The author specifically

focuses on armor.
Throughout history Trolls
have used armor made by
other races; gathering
their cast-offs, claiming
them off their corpses or,
rarely, paying to have
pieces made. Despite this,
the author discovers trends
in the kind of armor that
Trolls prefer, those that
they find to be the most
useful and useable. These
trends lead to some
interesting conclusions
about what kind of armor a
Troll would make if a Troll
had the time to do so.

The patterns in this book
can be copied many times,
but eventually they will
wear out and you can tell
that if you use the

patterns enough you will
need to replace the book.

To create pattern for
tailoring armor templates
based on these patterns you
will need this book, a
large bottle of ink, a roll
of plain parchment, a quill
and a compacted backpack to
hold the patterns you will
make. You'll also need a
book binding to do the

If you wish to use the
patterns to make molds
you'll need a kiln to work
in as well as a high
quality firing sheet,
sculpting tools, a huge
block of clay and a
compacted backpack to hold
the molds when you're done.
