these are also assigned for collection by taskmaster Solinar in the gypsy camp. He has several task which anybody new can do and get btween 3 and 9 plat plus other rewards.
Drops off "Burnt Overlord", "a burnt guardian", & "a burnt protector" in the new & improved (not to mention laggy) Lavastorm.
Too bad it's not in Nektulos & part of an upgarde to the newbie gear quests.

right you are there buddy. good for lower levels to make money as well, theres plenty of skeletons that spawn in 1 spot, if u can run threw them an need cash, kill em dont take up much room in your inventory, can have up to 3 or 4 drops i dont remeber which it was, an jus loot the chips, the femurs too if you like i believe 4 or 8 gold per femur, but i get 8.4pp per stack of burnt bone chips, since they are not used in tradeskills and such, great for lower levels to farm, can get many burnt bone chips in a short ammount of time...
an as for what they are for... prolly nothing... they prolly jus for the tasks for lower levels out in lavastorm from the gypsies, kill 15 skeletons bring back 10 bone chips or 25 whatever it to kill... stuff like i think all they are for, marked magical, i think for the fact so rogues cant pick ;pocke,t the items needed for the tasks, cuz task says , LOOT XX ammount of burnt bone chips... hope that helps
