It's a poor Dps weap for the content lvl

One Person said there are better weapons for Agro that Warrior's can get at this lvl of content.

Thats true .....there are (two) weapons that are better , Bbob , and Notched blade.

However Notched blade is very rare , we have logged over 800 items from Anguish since getting flagged ( 3 were Notched blades) ...all this data is on our dkp site its easy to track.

Bbob isn't as rare , but then again its not that common either

The Ratio for this Foresight Whip is 0.727

The Ratio for the MUCH more common Keldovan 1hb is 0.666

The Ratio for the MUCH more common Yarlir 1hb is , 0.666

Both those 1hb's have better dmg ratio's than Foresight Whip.

Not only would those two weapons be more likely to drop and cheaper to buy or easier to win.

But they also DON'T have Stun procs that could generate agro for the wielder.

Meaning Dps classes would do more dmg with other weapons that are much much more common , and they would also generate less agro while doing so and as a result live longer , and do more dmg again.

Most guilds in theory shouldn't have to do foresight more than 3 or 4 times.

Aside from a Bard or Rog /ranger Wanting this weapon for looks , its really not a good dmg weapon , and it has the misfortune of having an agro proc on it.

So while anyone can bid on this weapon in DKP guilds like mine.

Luckily for us , months ago when we were doing this raid our Dmg classes had enough sense to educate themselves and knew that they could get weapons with better ratio's that were much more common and had no agro procs on them.

These posts are kind of outdated. You prolly don't even have to go thru anguish anymore if you can get the caster dps. But I guess anguish has a nice selection of weapons to choose from. Hate weapons can be hard to get, and believe it or not this is a hate weapon. When you have to outfit 5 or 6 tanks with a pair you gotta take what you can get and move on. Unless you really like farming outdated material in which case you'll never progress.

Bet most of you are screaming out, "omg you're going to get reposted to death." We gotta aa that bypasses that in the secondary. And we also have another aa that allows us the damage bonus in that hand to. So we benifit in hate from low delay weapons in the secondary. Not by much, but we benifit.

With the 23 CHA on this one I couldn't pass it up. Replaced 1.5. As for Chaotic Strike , for a bard it's a non-issue. I slapped a CS4 in my whip and have another in my ROSN for a total of 3 CS combat effects. No aggro problems at all.
hmm well..

Honestly, in this day and time, if you still farm foresight, then you're most likely a guild gearing up in Anguish, and I can assume you're doing Tacvi as well. BBoB is a far superior weapon, but even if it doesnt drop, I think its a bad idea for a warr to gank this over a dps class. even if you get 2.0 Rogs and bards have 3 weps pretty much Anguish and DoN ~ Yarusha, NBoB off of AMV, and Mace from keld.

Actually it's not just for warriors. My bard now has this weapon and loves it. The tanks I raid with are very capable and hold aggro very well. This is a huge weapon for me to use for solo and to improve my DPS in raids (which Sony had decided we never deserve with melee). If you earn this weapon you deserve it period.

Ok ive been reading non-stop on forums about War's this war's that... all i have to say is that this weapon will go to those that deserve it... meaning those who worked their way up in the guild or those who attend enough raids for DKP. Personally i dont care whos betting... i will bet for something if i feel i need it and its for my class and is an upgrade. Let the warriors spend their DKP on it if they wish... there are others out there for better aggro control than this... this is an awsome sword tho.
Good aggro wep

who would want to wield it? try everyone listed as a useable class genius.
DoN augment with this proc does work at level 65.

Just a fyi. You can now buy an Augment at the DoN merchants for 250 shards that has the Chaotic Strike 3 proc. The Required level for this augment is level 63 and the recommended level is 70. I am level 65 and put this augment on my Fangs of Vyzdhra, with the unfortunate result of dragging down a few stats back into the red numbers. :) However, the augment *does* proc at this level. Killed about 6 Golems in PoV with it and it procced 11 times(checked log).

I guess I have an incentive now to level to 70 and get my full stats back on the fangs. :) Removal of this augment will cost you about 1900 pp......

Proc
# Feb 28 2005 at 8:49 PM Rating: Decent
This IS an agro weapon. A stun is just as much agro if not more than an anger/EB proc.
RE: Proc
# Oct 04 2005 at 6:51 PM Rating: Decent
if you're using this as an agro wep w/o any augs, good luck holding agro....and the fact that you obviously haven't BEEN to any place of such lvl.
RE: Proc
# Mar 16 2005 at 6:26 AM Rating: Decent
a stun proc is not more agro than anger or an eb aug, why because stuns are resistable anger / eb is not, you can have the dd portion of a stun proc land and have the mob resist the stun quite a bit of the time.that and the fact that there are few stun procs that acutaly stun mobs up to lvl 70 on being the proc on bone-rending battle sword.im not saying stun procs arent agro but to get the agro effect out of a stun you need to have it not be resisted. stun procs are nothing like pally stuns if thats what you were basing your comment off
RE: Proc
# May 10 2005 at 10:07 AM Rating: Decent
Not true.

Agro remains the same whether the spell has been resisted or not. Anger actually gets resisted quite a bit in places like Qvic, but you still generate agro for the proc.

trial of foresight btw.

Fairly common drop, 6 in our guild at the moment. 4 warriors and 2 rangers own them.

Did you see the stun proc? I hope you don't claim this over a warrior who needs it as an agro weapon...it's not like rangers don't have a huge variety of dps weapons already.

Check again,

This weapon has a proc but the proc does not have extra hate for the player using it more than any other proc would. Darn my bow has a stun proc doesn't mean I get agro if the warrior taunts.

Shut your pie hole about warrior agro - If you cannot get and keep agro you suck as a warrior and you should prolly think about quiting EQ. Sony has pretty much spoon fed warriors w/ the aa's and with disciplins so that they can keep agro, This is a good weapon for any class that can weild it <period>

Lynden you're a #%)(#*%&U ******! Since when did you get educated that taunt was all a warrior needed for aggro.Incite or Bellow out numbers taunt and those 2 act like dots. But all it takes is someone with one hell of a dd or stun proc or even casters overnuking like hell to get aggro. It's when you learn how to use your weapons during battle to keep from taking aggro from the tank while he's holding it is when you know what the #$%! your doing. Knowing what weapons to use is key. Once the warrior has taken aggro with incite/bellow which ever you have and taunt-(almost useless)a time or two then weapons which have stun/dd procs or anger procs help to keep it on top of what hate/aggro has been generated. But anyone can take it from a tank if they know how. Just ask certain classes out there such as necros (massive dots/snare), big chain nukers, sk's (massive dots/snare), pallies (stuns or chain stuns), Beastlords (can take aggro very well). I know several beastlords who can tank and keep the aggro.

Although the 4 classes listed can use this and can rightfully do so, doesn't mean a warrior sux *** for keeping aggro to those who can't control their use of weapons during battle and chain nukers. This is good for any of the mentioned classes and I agree but yes this stun/dd proc is AGGRO dumb ***. Apparently you don't know much about AGGRO CONTROL. I don't down any of the classes listed that wants to use this. Just know when to use the weapon which can generate aggro or numerous other aggro generating weapons for that matter. It's all about AGGRO CONTROL!! Fleshbiter for example: I see warriors using this and without even taunting in any way grab aggro when not Main Tanking simply from the stun/dd proc that it has but good thing is that they are smart. When they grab aggro from a proc during this and not Main Tank, they simply turn off attack and back up allowing Main Tank to get that aggro back then jumping right back in with max melee. IMO the weapons should be switched out to keep from taking aggro from the Main Tank but then again for warriors if the Main Tank goes down then that warrior who was occasionally getting aggro can jump in and take it no problem simply because he generated alot during the fight putting him probably at next hate list. Grow Up and shut your Pie Hole before you start putting up whiny posts and putting other people down. This site is for information purposes not your big mouth putting people down. Be informative or ask questions, not an A$$hole because you didn't like someones post like you just did. A$$hole!

Wow I usually don't flame, but this poster is a ******* ******. You can count on your hand the number of good aggro weapons for a warrior before OOW, as for the discs. Incite or the upgrades are good for snap aggro like pulling aggro from a puller or taking aggro back in middle of a fight, but as for supplying enough aggro with just taunt you gotta be kidding me. I had a Bloodfrenzy and BoC auged with WA 5 and I still would lose aggro from time to time to rogues and sometimes other melees depending on their procs.

This weapon is a solid aggro weapon, like all the new chaotic weapons, and you are a ******* moron if you don't let one of your primary guild tanks get one if they desperately need it.
