healing buff...

this effect should be a buff of sorts, so while it is for a short duration, it could still be quite useful, if it doesn't fade after only one use, like someone stated 2 years ago here... think about it (raider clerics)... there you are chain healing away and something goes wrong, tank dies... the sh*t hath hit teh fan... u gotta start tossing quickies to keep the new tank up, if u click this first, all of a sudden PR goes from a 3.5kish heal to a 5.5kish heal (estimate)... (assuming you already have the heal aa's and a good heal focus, PR is roughly a 3.5k-4k heal)... true 30 seconds isn't long, but at only 3.5-4 seconds total spent on casting it and waiting for recast, thats still 7-8 times it will heal for 5.5k-6k or more... not to mention any crits on top of that. this is also assuming it will last for the full duration, and not only effect just one heal. If it only effects one heal, then i'd think it'd rather be a waste of gear and space. i would like to get one and find out for myself, will let you know when i do =)

recast time on this is once every 5 mins=( Wow I feel so raped on this item. Thought it was a focus effect (my mistake when spending my dkp) then thought, well not so bad--its a buff. Then to find out it lasts for 2 heals and then cant cast again for 5 mins wtf.

Does this have to be equipped to cast the effect?

I am looking at a link to this right now in game... While you may have had to have it equipped at one point, I do not believe you have to now, the link does not say (must equip). I submitted a pic of the link to alla, as well, so it should be added soon for any of you who would like to see what i'm looking at. i plan on getting one of these soon, as it would come in handy on raids, especially if it is inventory clickable, so i'll update this later to let you know if i can click it or not... for those of you who are still wondering about the answer to the question :P

Maybe it is just me being lazy or having other things to do, besides click my BP all the time, bt I think having the sleaves with 25% healing focus without all the constant clicking woud be better for me. Of course I want Both! The AC and other stats are super too
Couple of Things

Got this the other night, couple of things I've noticed:
The improved healing focus can be extended with scr, and does require a buff slot.
Upon casting your second (non cheal) heal during the buff timer the buff fades, despite any time left on the timer.
Random %improved healing, as with any other focus (though I've gotten lucky a few times and critted pr for 8kish, average seems to be 6500ish)

So, it's a triggered buff, 5 ticks which to my understanding is 30seconds, in that time it adds up to 50 percent healing, since this is a buff it might stack with focus, which would be funky, but 30 seconds? whats it susposed to be like a healing discapline?, recast time via the spell is 0, so really a healing yaulp, sounds annoying but damn 50 percent more is great, hope they extend it, thou it has the potenial to see some spells more efficent then CH in the long run. Sorry By Extend i mean, the duration not the focus.

How is it triggered?
Or just kicks in when you cast a heal automatically?
Or what?

Triggered means click.

If it was to automatically kick in when you cast, that means it is not triggered, but rather is a worn focus effect. as a side note generally items which are worn ocus effects do nto have an effective duration beyond teh duration of teh spell it is focusing.

Hehe, its the max, too. Focus Effects can stack if they're different ones for the same thing, but 50% is the maximum focus for a particular attribute of a spell. (There are exceptions to this rule, mostly where the cap is lower than 50% I believe, but I quit in the early GoD era so I don't know if it may have been patched since.)
If you get this, you don't need anymore improved healing focus!
