Just put it in the bando till it procs, then switch to a faster weapon. I do use this with my warrior. Have a blood fire in dual wield mode, and go dual till it procs, then switch to my 2-hander which does faster overall damage. I get a nice 402 hp dot from the blood fire and then the 100-150 hits from my katana.

My regular group is interested in this weapon for our druid that travels with us regularly. We don't typically have a chanter, so a 55% slow on mobs would be great.

wood elf warriors can forage... iksar warriors can forage... therefore not impossible.. just really really really hard to get with skill of 50 foraging! =p
freebie

I guess this would be a nice freebie for a ranger starting afresh with no twinkage.

...er if they knew this thing existe.

spell description does say...SELF!

You cast: One of the lasso loops becomes entangled in your feet.
Cast on other: Soandso gets tangled in a lasso.
Effect Fades: Your feet become free of the lasso.

It DOES SNARE yourself!! So why, I would ask... Just made it and tried it, and it does work, just snares me, instead of the mob.

Is a summoning mob able to summon you while snared, or would you be able to pull a summoning mob to your group while snared?

ummm 55% snare..not slow, still the all/all tag makes it an ok utility item for solo classes with no snare (bstlords, Mages)

Sadly, the Golanda Nut is foraged. So in effect, this item is only useable by Bards, Druids, Iksars and Rangers. Non-foraging classes and races miss out. Smiley: disappointed

you forget all wood elves....so a wood elf rogue who has a mob down to 20% health or lower could bs with out having to chase it down...a wood elf warrior could use it....and all the iksar possibilities as well make it as good as you can get for an item strictly available to foragers. it has limitaions but it isnt completely unfair and it is part of the ranger epic 2.0
Nice item

if you're a rogue, use a serrated bone dirk, or better yet the Fabled Serrated bone dirk.
