I paid 15kpp for my BoH on Tholuxe Paells and let me tell you it is worth it. I am using the BoH and a Defiance and my chat screen looks like a monks, along with a Sash of Dragonborn I swing so fast it isn't even funny.

It's common knowledge to me atleast that one of the greatest advantages to a bard is their stackable damage shields. I've seen bards pull of insane amounts of damage using their damage shield songs. Yet last I checked the psalms don't stack with Niv's. So you have already there knocked of 9pts of the bard DS by using this weapon. I just don't understand the appeal

Agree. But not only does the effect not stack with our dmg sheilds songs, it doesnt stack with Sheild of Songs which is about a 60-70 point rune for me at level 53 with Kelin's 7 Stringed Lute which is refreshed every tick (I instrument twist in case you're wondering how I can get full song effects with a weapon.)

This BOH has also bugged out my songs every time I've tried using it twisting its effect in.
I have no quarrels with dly 18 dmg 10 though, it's just too bad the harmonic dagger doesn't have that dmg/dly ratio. The effect on the HD is a lot more useful IMO.
To pay 20k for this weapon is rediculous.

since the patch changed the singing short sword can put on off hand for all instruments, then u can easy sing 4 songs with BoH and have full effects, Great! BoH now is not the weapon besides urs epic, is must have with urs epic! prices will go up a bit a guess :)

Auctioned it for 2 weeks in EC to buy in cash and no replys (was going to pay anything they asked for)...then yesterday someone accepted to trade it off out af charity to Harmonic Sabre, Crystal Chitin Armplates, Seahorse Spine Bracelet and 3k

People have said that BoH is THE weapon of choice for bards until you can get your epic. The BoH is absolutely uber, but if you're looking for THE pre-epic weapon for bards, I'd have to say that Defiance beats BoH - not hands down, but by a reasonable margin.

i prefer having my BoH, and my Swordbreaker in my offhand. still 1 piece from epic :(

i think the BOH is better, the defiance only has the ac over it realy after you consider to effect added to the fact you can sing 3 songs AND niv's withouth taking up an extra gem BTW.

Level for Affect is 50, and it's Primary only...and it's Ultra rare because Most servers have less bards than any other class...can you Imagine if a bard only weapon this good Dropped daily? it would be worth about 2cp...I've been told 3 dropping a month is a lot...i like it that way...i paid an arm and a leg for mine and So it should be...it's Far too powerful to be common.

I find this weapon really useful for snare,fear,haste soloing. clicking the regen affect might be a slow regen but you know how long it can be to kill a higher blue with this technque and when ur already twisting 3 songs and its a long fight, this extra bit of regen really comes in handy

Maybe I am wrong so flame me if you will but WHY do bards get one of the best damage delay weapons? Monk I can understand but shouldn't a warrior get a weapon like this? Lamy isn't even this good
Wurmslayer has a better ratio....

Doesn't look like a skyfire...Skyfire has a Translucent Spine down the center with solid surrounding that...This has translucent surrounding a solid spine, and resembles a Sword of the Morning
actually, skyfire _does_ look like this. you are thinking of a noctivigant (sp?) blade-also very cool. noc has same pic as SoM, Skyfire and BoH have same pic...all i can say is i would be glad for anyone in my group to have _any_ of these (i'm gonna use it!) uber weapons, though they would be twinks (25ish level...that's me...)

The guy before u was right, this looks like a Jagged blade of Mourning, Blade of the Senchel, Noctivigant Blade, and maybe a couple others but NOT like a skyfire. Skyfire is more like a shorted Runic Carver.

At a guess, Bards need a weapon to help keep them alive during visits to the planes, as healers/casters they have a high agro rate and are usually the first to die, looks like a balancing item to me.
My main is an enchanter and I have a twinked bard. This looks like a good weapon but am I missing something? Why is this ultra rare?
