28ac in the bracer slot is just ridiculously good, even without stats. I'd pass on the belt, but this would go on my wrist in an instant.

Hmmm. If you're a HUM/HEF SHD, check out:

Fine Heraldic Bracer (standard Un-imbued)
Fetid Heraldic Bracer (Bertox Imbue)
there are others as well, all called heraldic

If you're a DEF, try the Dark Price Regent type Dark Elf Cultural, if you're a troll or Ogre, try the Darkscale Ogre cultural. If you're a Gnome SHD, try the brellium stuff (Don't think there's a Bertox imbue)

What's the graphic on this?

Just won this against not much opposition. Graphic is solid medium brown, no texture, and no 'bulk' if you see what I mean - it just tints your arm. This is on a human female with Luclin graphics on.

First off, some high level guilds DO still lotto stuff. Mine is one of them (Ilsik Haucil, Mithaniel Marr server).

When the Va`Dyn dropped this (only seen one in 6+ kills of him) I only had one other person to lotto against--and he was the lowest level warrior there. Nobody else went in on it, for their own reasons (e.g. stats preferred...).

As it was, I wound up looting the shaderock girdle as well--everyone else had haste belts. Girdle is MUCH more common, we've had at least one drop almost every time, and two dropped once.
Mob drop

Just for reference, since you probably wont see this floating around too often. Drops from a level 62+ mob called The Va`Dyn. Mob is pure melee, has a guestimated 325k hp, and rampages.

He is guarded by 2 level 59-60 golems, and 4 more golems 55+ in the room. The path to him is lined with undetectable, un-disarmable traps, that spawn anywhere from 1 to 4 mobs (different types, ie. Shadows, golems, worms). The traps do not seem to have a set timer on them, and could go off immediately after being tripped the first time.

Dropped the bracer the first time we killed him, hope to see what else he drops soon!

#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 12 2001 at 6:18 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Considering there's probably about half a dozen of these on all the servers combined right now, and Luclin has only been out for like a week, there sure is a lot of morons coming here to open their mouths. None of you will ever see it anyway, so stop whinning about who can wear it and who would want to wear it.
WHAAA!!?!?!?

This would be a great combo with one of the AC 32/Haste Bracers from ToV methinks. Hell, I'd even wear it as a Shaman. I'm wearring Skyshrine ATM, and they're only AC 16. As for the weight, look at other nice items like IGS those things are 24.4 Stones. . . And a Shoulder item at that. From a perspective of, HTF do you swing a sword with a bracer that heavy on, yeah it doesn't make much sense. But then, when was the last time you saw a Dragon, or Dark Elf . . . It's called fantasy . . .
hehe

bracer

On tribunal cobalt bracers still go for 30K+ so this may be the way to go for on bracer depending how hard it is to get and the weight is nohing most war's have at least 200 str anyways.

# Dec 10 2001 at 8:40 PM Rating: Default
I'm guessing it's for some sort of quest. +28 ac, wow, but 8 lbs/stone/whatever! A bit much, if you ask me. Also, the fact that it's NO DROP also leads me so suspect it's part of a quest. Don't know anyone that would wear it.
RE: Quest
# Dec 11 2001 at 8:55 AM Rating: Default
if u dunno anyone who would wear this, then u hang out with ZERO melees, ppl with all velious quest armor, or complete idiots! btw, as of this date, you have to go to ToV to beat the AC on this =P (even for warrior)
RE: Quest
# Dec 11 2001 at 2:49 AM Rating: Decent
28 ac on a bracer is insane for one. Its no drop so it is for a quest? For what? A 50ac 25 to all stat bracer? 15 ac is good for a bracer, 28 is godly. Using "no drop" to indicate a quest item fails the logic test this time.
RE: Quest
# Dec 11 2001 at 8:25 AM Rating: Default
Not a quest. Just an awesome bracer.
RE: Quest
# Dec 10 2001 at 10:43 PM Rating: Decent
you have 2 bracer slots-this thing puts 28 ac in ONE of them, its sad but 28ac is more than most people have on their chest slot-i know at least 1 person who would wear it
Uhm newbie???
# Dec 10 2001 at 7:59 PM Rating: Default
Dumbass this is more ac then cobalt..
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 10 2001 at 7:31 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) this might be good for an ac-impaired clr pal shd or bard, but if a war is going for ac, its cobalt or nothin
RE: so-so for wars
# Feb 23 2002 at 9:55 PM Rating: Default
Hmm ok... This bracer is LORE so you can only have one on at a time so having the Cobalt on the other wrist is a good combo and still have that shrink effect.
RE: so-so for wars
# Dec 11 2001 at 10:31 AM Rating: Decent
so-so? lets see, cobalt is what, 20ac, and this is 28 ac, Unless you really think a shrink effect is that important, this beats the hell outa cobalt hands down.

so-so ? i dont know the exact stats on cobalt but it has 18-25 ac (im not sure on exact numbers). unless its higher than i remember this is superior in ac, and except for the shrink effect for ogres barbs and trolls this is better. you might also want to consider that not every warrior has access to cobalt.
lotsa ac
# Dec 10 2001 at 6:48 PM Rating: Decent
thats a lot of ac for a bracer
