Good luck, Sony couldnt design tradeskills properly, if you coded it for them. 100k for an aug component with high failures~.... No wonder people dont try.

I like how people talk trash just because it's not within their ability.

It's expensive, and just because you get the scoriae, doesn't mean you get a successful combine.. and this is somehow a design flaw?

Everyone should get a scoriae just for making their character, eh?

Nobody said this junk was going to be easy, and the game nowadays is much, much easier than it used to be.

Good point, however, the one thing that you forgot to mention was how the prices got that high.

Sony does NOT set the prices in the bazaar! We as the player base sets these prices, and the first person to loot and sell one of these set that price high! Now, someone else with the PP to spend bought this item at that price, and thus the economic average for this item is set.

So SoE did not F*CK anyone over. THey simply set the drop rate on an item used to make very potent augs for gear...come on now do you really think that obtaining anything with the focus effects that these can give should be SIMPLE?!?! Hell, lets just revamp the PoP flagging so that if you kill MB, TT, Grummy, and AD you are now time flagged. While we are at it, Time GoD mobs now hit for 100dmg max, and thier procs and AE's do 75 damage.

Think about the reasons things are the way they are before you speak. It takes away some of the chances for you to look stupid.

Exactly. And with the skill cap changes, it is only really the drop rate which controls supply now.

It only cost me 15k to raise my Rogues poison making skill to the point where he has a 95% success chance at combining the Inlays.

Of course getting smithing high enough to make the inlays won't be quite so cheap :)

I wonder if theres any loot code behind the drop of these more complex than simple randomness.
Farming these in NC with my shamy, I had one drop real fast, first 30 minutes. It's possible they are doing a class check to determine the loot table, analogous to the trivial loot code.

was Tearing up the southern half of WoS with a group of guildies tonight... in 2 hours, we got 6 runes (2 each, minor, lesser, and Muramite) some Dru/Monk sleeves, Cap of serfdom, earring of oppression x2, a cap of some sort, and 1 Discordant scoriae. The Discordant Scoriae dropped off of a trash mob though. worked out great, 12 items, 6 peeps, 2 hours... I got the Scoria and a lesser rune... made me happy!!

Pulling yard trash in WoS last night this dropped off either Savage Feran or Raging Chimera (I don't remember which but it was for certain a yard mob which we were chain pulling most everything in the area). I know this for certain as we were ffa looting and when I looted this immediately a party member noted it and we proceeded to roll on it which I subsequently lost but no big deal. Dude said it sells for 70k on Vazaelle server so I guess it is a rare drop.

yea they should really change that from common to rare....i hunt in Nobles killin murkgliders all the time and i have seen 1 drop in 2 weeks. it makes no sense that a item needed to upgrade augs would be so hard to get even though to upgrade the augs it is trivial 370.

It is used to make black gold inlay which is required to make the tradable augments into combined improved tradable augments. The super augs have been selling for 200-400k on my server.
