For the sake of sharing numbers, my results on this camp went as such:
8 hours total camp time.
1st Hour: All PH
2nd Hour: All PH
3rd Hour: All PH
4th Hour: All PH
5th Hour: All PH
6th Hour: 2 named (sleeves), PH
7th Hour: All PH
8th Hour: Named (lute)
Best advice I can give is hang in there, I was about ready to say forget it after five hours with no named pop. Reading a book to distract myself seemed to help. Also, if you tuck into the southwest corner of the room, you can get away with just pulling two mobs--the named/ph, and the single dragorn at the campfire on the west wall.

I guess after all the time i spent on the neriad shawl i got a little justice because i only had to sit through 1 place holder and the first named kill dropped the lute. I was a happy man that day.

I started camping this 11/17/08, I ran one full instance and then 3 hours into the next one when it dropped. Here is the spawn info.
Ukun Fleshrender - 4
ukun chained armplates - 3
lute - 1

went down there tonight with a 65 shammy, 65 sk, 64 cleric, 65 pally and myself a 66 bard. for about 3 hours we killed all the mobs in the last L-shaped room along with the ukun wanderer, and even took out the ukun at the very end of the zone in the little throne-room. got one Dragorn Firesomething, but not a single named ukun. i'm going to try again with a level 70 or two in the group and see if it spawns then.
EDIT:
after many months, and many levels, i remembered this camp. went down with a 70 SK/SHM box, me a 69 bard, 69 cleric and 66 mage. that made our average level 68.3
i was under the impression that his PH was was the roaming Ukun just north of the L shaped room at the end of the zone, but while clearing the trash between spawns, i found the Ukun Fleshrender in the ukun spawn point in the L shaped room itself. he spawned the second clearing. dropped the lute, yay (but now i have the DoDH lute with m-regen/h-regen 3). spawntime down here is 19 minutes on the nose. good luck bards!

Wanted this for my bard alt. Got the B instance, not sure if it matters. ph, named, ph, named with lute.
2 70 necros and a 70 cleric-bot to PE on named pulls. Simple. BTW prices listed are way high, can buy on Drinal for 35k

Got the exp with levels 70, 70, 65 (average 68.333) and got Fleshrender 3 times (ph, named, ph, named, ph, ph, named) but no Lute unfortenately.
Will be back again someday to try more but it looks like Lute is rare drop.

Tried using effect at 64 from inventory and wouldnt let me do it. Very rare lute only seen for sell once so far.

Not necessarily that easy of a question unless you have tried it yourself or know someone who has. It most likely would require you to be 66, but since it does NOT say must equip, there is a chance the effect could be used earlier.

The ph for the named Ukun that drops the lute is not a discordling, but an ukun (fleshhound, if I recall correctly), roughly in the corner of the last L-shaped room, in an instance obtained by a lvl 70 player.

Sorry, I completely misspoke. You are 100% correct. It is an ukun ph, not a discordling.
It is still in the last L shaped room, nearly at the end of the dungeon.
Also, it can be instanced by a 68....100% sure. verified.

Cannot find a discordling in the Fire Pit 68+ instance. Have a LOC for this mob? NOt in the last L shaped room....
what level are you? or what level is the person that gets the instance zone? i have noticed that you get higher level mobs if a higher level person gets the instance zone.

This drops from the 68+ instance of the DH Fire Pits. The PH is an ukun in the last L shaped room of the dungeon.
