Not every piece of gear in the game has to be for you. Yes this is a VERY nice ring but if you're a pure melee whining about the lack of regular regen take a sec to compare the availability of reg. regen items to mana regen. Then cancel out all of the mana regen items that are for casters, then disregard the raid items. Take that all into consideration and congratulate your hybrid friends on a nice item.
(Btw, casters need regualr regen also, lets not forget necro's and DoT's on a raid hurt everyone)

do ppl not read posts b4 posting? THIS RING IS FOR HYBRIDS. Warriors go elsewhere...Casters shut up. Hybrids rejoice!
Hate to break it to you, but this ring is for warriors too.
It's a relatively easy quest, if you have the faction to do it, and 120hp/10sta is pretty decent for this level of loot. So a warrior cannot use the mana regen. Who cares. It really would not matter if it was HP regen anyhow. +4 regen never saved a tank that I have seen. That's what heals are for.
What might save the tank is having the HP this ring grants.

well heres 2 alternate tarn's ring and maze runner's ring one with maze runners has cleave 1 worn, better resists and better stats along with hp regen 2 and 145 hp tarns has 150 hp regen 5 strike through 5 much higher stats and better resits. i know, tarn requires a mini raid but it is very very easy. maze runners ring is a random drop from TRASH MOBS in mpg
That's true, however the mobs you need to kill for this quest, are MUCH easier kills than PG mobs. The group I used to grind in RCoD with, back when I was in a family guild, would have wiped hard and fast in PG, but could have easily completed this quest.
In fact, I know people who 3 man these mobs, with characters who could use the rings as upgrades.

Right now this is a really nice bard ring - I think that it was a mistake, but that they know bards would be up in arms (for good reason) if they changed it.

the ring screws warriors retarded of them to switch the regen and mana regen, they should of had a third ring for pure melee.

You know casters are the biggest moaners when it comes that they didn't get anything.. awwe shame.. there is ALOT more gear for you that has nice things on.... it about time something like this comes along for others to enjoy too...
No one is forcing you casters to do this quest there is enough others for you to go do... off you go go do them and alow others to have the joy that there is a nice regen item for them to enjoy too.

This ring has nothing to do with any other classes than Pal/Shd/Rng/Bst/Brd (hybrids) if it wasnt completely obvoius, maybe this simple observation helps. Honestly, the pure melee would probably not wear this ring for anything other than hp

That is an Awsome ring for bards.. and I mean awsome.. Mana regen for bards in equipable slots is freaking tough to find. Will go all out for my 68 bard on this quest.
I have to agree. This is a Hybrid's Dream. Great stats high HP/Mana and Mana regen. Great combo....slap that +5 to all stat aug from the ukun gutfeaster in dranik on this and you one bad ****. But even if it didnt have stats hp and the ability to aug it would still be an item of choice for us bards like you said. Mana regen is a MUST for bards. Especially in EP+ where you need a good regen rate to handle fading on every other pull for certain mobs. I mean yeah bards can usually mez/snare split mobs easily when need be but that mana pool ticks back so slowly after you get a bad pull and have to fade a couple times.

sorry to say this and you can flame me all you want but i think this ring is useless for us pure melee (war,mnk,rog,ber) no point of this ring besides the stats, why give the casters regen instead of FT /shrug

Here is a way to think about it: This is the expansion for hybrids. Up until now, hybrids have had a hell of time getting FT gear. My wife's paladin has had real bad FT until this expansion came along. And all those that say hybrids don't need FT.. you are full of it. Granted, we don't need as high of FT as say clerics, but we do need it.
