Looks like the proc message has been changed:
OLD - target has been hit for 190 points of NON MELEE damage.
NEW - target has been slashed for 190 points of damage.
Message changed from non melee to a regular weapon hit. Can anyone verify this?

The in-game text has been corrected and now says that the pet has to be level 60 to proc the weapon. So for shamans for example I think only the lvl 67 pet spell will proc it.

I do have to bielieve that the weapon onlyproc for higher lvl pets. Im a mage lvl 65 and it procs for me
Didn't proc for my pet. I'm a 26 bst with level 22 pet.
won't proc for my pet at 54 says my pet's will is not stong enough to command this weapon which means he's not high enough lvl for the proc. Any one else having problems with this weap?
Found out from a high lvl mage friend of mine that this weapon procs at 60+ not 10 like it says is a ***** up on the labeling.
The required level of 10 is definately in error as my Beastlord pet at level 58 still is of insufficient level to proc.
Will not proc for my 65 shammy's pet.

The weapon procs for a PET that is level 60 or higher. Since Shammy pets are much lower level than their masters (as are SK pets) the weapon will not proc for them. Still this is a very nice weapon for pets as are the Blades of Walen and the Blade of Kedge.
I helped out one guy, and when he linked me this weapon, it had +600 hp. Hrmmm.
