found him at +3300, -8180, -491 in the water. he seems to stop here for a bit.

I was hunting this guy for my rogue's 1.5 and decided to try up near Sister's Island since many people had seen him there. I camped my rogue on the island and brought my druid over, too (I hate waiting for the boats!), and tracked the fist way up in the NE corner of the zone, just floating in the middle of the water. Killed him, logged my rogue, and looted up. I definitely recommend a tracker for this guy.

Alright, I am not sure if this little guy has multiple spawn points or what. I will tell you that I found him near Sister Island after standing at his alleged spawn point for about 10 minutes near Aviak Isle. I then decided to evac and take the boat and while I was waiting he showed up on track. I found him NE of sister isle and he stopped there between that isle and the corner of the zone for a bit where I held him with snare. He was at the top of the tracking list, which means he was the most recent spawn out of all the others so he must despawn or something. I believe he has more than one spawn point or spawns and takes off so fast you arent ready for it while your sleeping out of boredom. (I waited about 30 minutes last night near Aviak Isle and did not see him. Since he stops near Sister Isle that is where I am banking you will find him) It was daytime nearing night when he was up.

I caught the bugger. I was pathing west along the southern boat route on the surface of the water. He is very fast, so have levitate or a super high swim skill. Also, make certain you have lots of food at the top of your inventory, so you don't accidentally eat the loot.

This fish was a pain in the donkey for me, i camped my rogue on an island near his spawn point, then tracked and killed him with my druid, log my rogue back in and he is on sister island DOH, no way to get him to loot the corpse in time...I wated for the fish to repop then argoed him and made him follow me all the way to sister island where i killed and was able to log in rogue and loot...spawn time on this fish is 3 hours.
he paths around the whole sea now, but he has a couple spots he stays stationary at for a couple minutes. i marked his pathing on my map and loaded it to the map page on my sig, and here is a screenshot of his pathing

if you click the link in my sig to my map page there is a map file there with his path maked on it.. well unless it has been changed, i made that right when the new OOT came out (i did not make that specific map, just marked the cats path)

can anyone confirm that this still exists? I went to the loc's previously listed in this post with my druid, tracked the zone for about 3 hours, never did see him.
confirmed , he still follows that path. sometimes when he gets to the west wall though he gets stuck. Maybe someone had just killed it.. not sure what its respawn time is.

Found him hugging the West wall a lot, then started up along the South zone line still on the wall

"A flighty catfish" spawned at 11pm on the bottom of the ocean at p1470, p2044 in OOT. I sat on the bottom and waited and he dropped the catfish, which is no drop.

It is dropped by a fish named "a flighty catfish" hangs out in the water just east of the aviak island. It moves around quite a bit so a tracker is very helpful in finding it. I had not problem tracking it with my lvl 22 Ranger.

To clarify, it spawns east of Aviak Isle
Spawns Every so often near Aviak Island in OOT. VERY hard to see, hard to track, and seems to spawn every hour or so probably (I fell asleep so don't have exact pop time) but definately more than 10 minutes.
What is the spawning mob named?
